    Here's a thought... How about communicating like normal people? I don't think there's been a single instance where I saw TTO that I didn't have to look it up. It's just not something that comes up that often and I'm sure 90% of casuals don't recognize it as "three true outcomes" either.

    Solaris has a lot of actual science to it. It's fairly dry but with moments of great poignancy. It's nothing like PKD.

    I don't know if you've read the novel (though it does totally seem like your thing) but I thought it was very interesting how Soderbergh basically skipped over the things that Tarkovsky did well and put his focus elsewhere. Very interesting exercise in adaptation.

    When someone says Solaris is just assume it's the only one they've seen. I actually think Soderbergh did a better job though neither film is true to the Lem novel.

    Well that's a nice thing to say but I do have a temper and can be pretty cranky on here. Returning the compliment, It's to your credit that pretty much the entire board was shocked when you were banned. No one could figure what you could have done to deserve it (not much as it turned out but let's not revisit that).

    Well that's just my impression. I mean like he suggests there's probably some confirmation bias there but it sure seems like it's been a steady stream of negativity which to be honest I don't really mind as much as he seems to think I do. As long as he's civil, it's no big deal.
