    Weird that he's abandoned the leg kick. Not that I give a damn about leg kicks but I'm in favour of whatever works and it did seem to be working better than what he's doing now.

    I feel like if they were responding to an issue with the players, they would take him out of there altogether not have him continue to annoy them only with less frequently. That wouldn't really solve the issue if there was one. Not to say that Barry isn't annoying but I figure there's probably an entire different reason for this. Also, it's not like Hazel hasn't had her run in with the players either. She was the reporter who did the whole Travis buys a suit soft focus bit last year.

    I don't mind Pillar campaigning but it's the manager job to tell players what their place is. When Pillar bitched about being pinch hit for, he got demoted. Now he's getting too big for his britches again but he's getting what he wants. I guess this is "the code" at work. Back then Pillar hadn't paid his dues yet and now he has.

    It was reported on Twitter and then Gibby confirmed as much in his post game conference.

    We've known that for a while actually. It came out right after the game that Morales didn't feel right in the 'pen. Chavez was likely just warming up to likely go in after Morales but was thrust into the wrong situation instead.

    Lol. Yeah that's the whole situation in a nutshell. That being said he really has pitched well despite the bloated ERA.

    Why didn't they do that yesterday? Could have called up an extra body for yesterday's game.

    Yeah I've seen that stuff too. I think that's mostly focused on the bullpen decisions but that's pretty tendentious too. The most egregious bullpen decision (the Morales one) turned out to be out of Gibby's hand and it's hard to quantify these things anyways. You don't necessarily get the right outcome from making the right decision. That stuff normalizes over time not necessarily over 5 games. I really think Cecil has been the X factor so far. Gibby has used him well and it has backfired. You get expected results from Cecil and most of this other stuff becomes moot.

    Anyone know how to interpret this? Edit: It seems like what's it's saying is that over this (admittedly very small) sample, the record is pretty much in line with the performance.

    Yes I don't think anyone is arguing that. It's probably no more than a small hit on win probability. That being said, it's unquestionably a poor strategic decision.
