    I was at the game and Happ was cruising through the first 6 innings. We had as many home runs as the Phillies did hits.

    How's his arm? Think it could play at 3rd too? If he's a guy who can't stick at catcher because of his health but is athletic enough to play various positions his bat and versatility would be a plus.

    From what I remember he is a pretty athletic guy. If he can't stick at catcher maybe a super utility role could be in his future. As you said sticking him at first makes him really need to hit a ton.

    Probably won't be released but will let him become a free agent next year. By god he strikes out a ton.

    When I played I was the fattest shortstop in the league. Some fat kids are quick.

    In the old days (your thinking) the fastest guy hit first no matter how often they got on base. The best lineup would be going OBP from top to bottom.

    Not really. The Rule 5 has changed over the years. When it first came about any minor leaguer was available. Roberto Clemente was drafted by the Pirates from the Dodgers only after a year. In modern times where clubs had to wait a few years I'd put Bell up there with Jose Bautista, Dickey, Johan Santana, and Bobby Bonilla.

    Rays don't kick people out of games. If they come they get locked in at night in hopes of having at least 10,000 a game.

    Is anyone having issues with MLB TV constantly buffering on a computer? It doesn't happen nearly as much on my Roku.

    $200 million All-Star rightfielder right there.

    He made one good grab, and couldn't find the bag a couple times. I don't think any 1st baseman would be able to make a play on the ball that hit the base and went straight up in the air, he just didn't look graceful as he was trying to recover the ball.
