    The O's don't play a below .500 team until they head to Chicago on August 17th to face the ChiSox who are 26-22 at home. We also play them 6 times in September.

    Does anyone know how he does the first inning or two of his starts? Maybe he mows through the lineup once before stumbling as a starter? Perhaps he can dial his fastball up out of the pen. It's a curious move to be sure but I don't have enough information to call it a terrible decision.

    http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-trade-value-50-41/ Fangraphs had him pegged as having the 46th highest trade value in the league. Do you think that's too low? Seems like it to me but the players around him seem to be ok comparisons?

    Given those parameters what else can be done but trade damn near everyone who makes money and is 30+ for young MLB players or MLB-ready prospects? EE would be the one guy that could be kept.

    I agree but a cheap and talented rotation goes a long way toward building a good team.

    But we will also have a ton of payroll flexibility as the large contracts come off the books soon.

    I want the AL East Pennant. Bad. I don't give a s*** if we do it with 85 wins because the flag they hang at the dome isn't going to make any mention of it.

    Prado would be a good target. He hits lefties well and he can play 2B, 3B, and OF. We've got a glut of imperfect but somewhat capable backups at 3B and 2B and Prado can help fill in where needed. I can't imagine the cost to acquiring him would be that great either.
