To be fair every Game Day thread is like this after a loss. -
Well when you drop Game 1 in a 5 game series you're at a big disadvantage. So we should all be concerned at least a little bit.
-
Reynolds is a moron. He hit his head not his knee.
-
He's down and away every time. Wait for a fastball there and tee off.
-
Here we go boys...leadoff runner on and the middle of the lineup coming up.
-
Guys I'm really nervous. Been waiting forever for this.
-
Splitting up Goins and Revere. So other than the righty dominated middle of the order it goes L-R-L-R- and then back to the top with a Lefty again.
-
Lol oh god did it really? Mainstream baseball coverage is unbearable. I'd rather read my old college textbooks.
-
Flight was 230 bucks but I'm coming from Denver. Coming from TO it'd be a lot more. Hotel prices are going up, Red River Rivalry is this weekend and the Cowboys play the Patriots at home. 100 for a shithole and 180 for something decent although that may continue to climb. Tickets to the game aren't bad. 60 bucks to get in and 200 for something decent.
-
Oh hey Grant. Haven't seen you on here in a while. But yeah, the tickets aren't that hard to get right now. For third party vendors, 55 bucks gets you in the door. 200 gets you really good seats. I may just scalp them right before the game.
-
Yeah that would be pretty cool, TCU is a damn good program but the atmosphere isn't all that great and College Station is 2.5 hours from Dallas so it'd turn your trip in to a road trip for sure. The Red River Rivalry still might be the best bet, even if those other two teams were in town.
-
I'll be there! I booked my flight and hotel. Need to get tickets for the game still and I'm not sure where yet. Behind the visitor's dugout seems like where most Jays fans would be.
-
Bc the AL is trash so our path is much easier than the Cards or Dodgers.
-
Your best bet is to get tickets near the Blue Jays dugout. That's usually where visiting fans sit. I'm going with my dad and that's where we are going to try and sit.
-
No for work and I'm not a huge fan of the medicine but every once in a while it's nice to be able to walk to the store and pick some up.
-
Well I live in Denver so it's easier for me to get to Dallas than it is Toronto.
-
So pumped for this series! I'm flying down to Dallas on Friday night and and am catching Game 3s and then 4 if it happens. Is anyone else going?
-
Yeah that's why I wasn't too concerned about winning home field. Yankees/Houston are far scarier playoff matchups IMO.

Jon Morosi @jonmorosi 8m8 minutes ago Interesting #BlueJays development: #Rangers manager Jeff Banister tells @MLBNetworkRadio there's "good chance" Texas starts 3 LHP in ALDS. Jon Morosi @jonmorosi 5m5 minutes ago In other words: Jays likely to face Hamels, Perez, Holland and one of Lewis/Gallardo. During year, Jays 20-15 vs. LHP and 73-54 vs. RHP.
-
Yeah the Rays certainly have their obstacles but over the next couple of years I think they'll be fine.
-
Idk, Texas doesn't really scare me. For some reason the Yankees make me nervous.
-
I don't necessarily agree with that but I do think it's a defensible position to take despite the crap you're taking.

Looks like Hawkins is going to close this one out. That's also a good choice. -

AL East Clinch Day Thread - RIP Miguel Gonzalez

Man this is awesome. Kicking the Orioles asses on their home turf with a decent number of Jays fans in the crowd all chanting and cheering as we clinch. Then we get to watch Drunk Dickey throw the nightcap and celebrate some more.
