    Travis could probably play some OF. Not sure that's a great option but it's one I haven't seen mentioned yet.

    What the hell happened? And we all thought the Jays were all in two, at least for the first two years AA was at the helm.

    Yeah everyone says move him to 2B but I almost think 3B or the OF would be a better move for him.

    That's a good question. If you cut your calories you'll lose your fat first. And if you eat the right things (even when cutting) it will help you maintain muscle. Once you get where you want then you eat in a way to maintain. I'm just starting all of this myself so I don't have the greatest knowledge but I think if you do some research on bulking/cutting/maintaining you'll find all sorts of good info.

    You need to bulk up (which sounds like that's what you've already done). That's why bodybuilders will eat like s*** for weeks at a time by scarfing cheeseburgers and eating ice cream. Then they "cut" and quit eating so much and lose the fat. I don't know all the details on this but there are plenty of resources on the web that you should look in to.

    If you want abs you have to take it to a whole different level. Glory's post above is on the right track. Bulking and cutting is basically what he's getting at.

    Yeah if he's cheap (and I imagine he will be) I'm all for it. He's fine as a middle reliever.

    I'm not a huge fan of Melky and wasn't too concerned about bringing him back but 3 for 45 seems fair for both parties.

    I don't think they would necessarily concede that although you may be right in that they realize the last year of the deal may be lost. But this is Epstein's MO IMO. He doled out or traded for a lot of very big contracts, especially toward the end of his run Boston.

    I don't want any part of Hill unless the Dbacks are paying a HUGE chunk of his salary due injury concerns, his age, and eroding skills.

    He could but then he loses a lot of his value which is tied to the great defense he provides at 3B.

    AA certainly likes his serviceable #5 SPs. He gave up some stuff to get Happ and keeps picking up his option. Traded for Estrada and tendered him. I guess a year of giving 10+ starts to the Wangs and the Ramon Ortiz' of the world will do that to a GM.

    We don't know what prospects though. As cheap as the Astros are it could have crossed their minds to non-tender him but they are going to try and squeeze anything of worth out of him via trade instead. So maybe AA could give up some non-prospect for him while paying him 10 million. Not bad for a guy with a 124 wRC+ when you consider some of the alternatives.
