Reyes with a bum wing is a whole lot better than Diaz or Goins.

It's not smart but if you asked Gibbons he'd probably say because of the injuries we have limited options and Kawasaki has been hitting pretty well since his call up in mid June. Regardless, it makes little difference and with all the slop we have in the lineup right now it's going to look ugly no matter what.

Well the guy he is platooning with has a career 54 RC+ vs lefties. I'd prefer they go with someone else other than Gillespie (like Kratz) but Gibby has to work with what he has got.

Oh come on guys, Headley would be a fine pickup. The cost in acquiring him will be little more than paying the remainder of his salary and throwing in a C+ prospect. He's good as usual defensively and while his numbers are bad, he's clearly the victim of the BABIP monster. He's got a .268 BABIP with a career 25.4 LD% this year. His career BABIP is .330 for what it's worth. His walk rate is down slightly and his strikeout rate is up a tick but I don't think either is a cause for concern. If AA could get him for cheap I'd be all for it. -

Agreed. Rogers isn't so bad it's just that corporate ownership in general will always lead to problems.
