  1. Whoever mentioned Ian Desmond earlier I agree with. Would love to fill a need with a multi-positional guy. Say Travis gets hurt you could move Desmond from the OF to 2B and then call up Pompey to platoon with Upton in the OF.
  2. I'm on board with trading Happ or Estrada. Probably Happ.
  3. He'd be solid. Where would you play him? 1st? DH would be cool he could spill Donaldson, Travis and whoever is at 1B.
  4. If we are looking at cheap options for a corner OF spot, Jon Jay's average bat and average glove would be an option. Bats left-handed as well. EDIT: Yeah Pagan is another cheap option BTS.
  5. Well the thinking is you could likely get a very good hitter with positional flexibility on a 2 year deal with a low AAV. If he breaks the bank no of course we don't want him.
  6. Upon further thought I'd absolutely sign Fowler to that.
  7. Geezus: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/checking-in-on-eric-thames/
  8. Is there any chance that Eric Thames is a viable DH option? lol
  9. Didn't realize his stats were so much better this year.
  10. Prado signed an extension.
  11. He didn't get any where near that last year. Orioles were 3 for 45 or something right? Then whatever happened did and he ended up signing with the Cubs for peanuts.
  12. The s*** offers he got last year were criminal. I think he has attitude issues that scare some teams off. At least I remember reports about that with the Rockies.
  13. Here's my offseason shitpost. Feel free to destroy it. Sign Gomez (LF), Fowler (RF), Pearce (1B) and Alvarez (DH). Offense shouldn't drop off much but the fielding would be very, very good. I have no idea who to get for backup C but we need one. Fill out the bullpen on the cheap and reinforce at the deadline if needed. Get picks for EE and Bautista.
  14. Jason Castro is a really good pitch framer. Not a bad bat against right handers. He might want a better opportunity for playing time though. A trade is probably our best option.
  15. Just got a notification from The Score app saying that Shapiro has confirmed that Gibbons will be back in 2017.
  16. Just got a notification from the Score that Gibbons will be back in 2017 as confirmed by Shapiro.
  17. Bautista has 35.6 WAR to Donaldson's 16.3.
  18. 4 more hours to perfect my offseason plan. Let's just say the terminator run Jays will be VERY active this offseason.
  19. I don't get how Jays fans can't like him. All the times the O's threw at him and then hit homers off of them. The bat flip. Might be one of a handful of players who actually can make the post-game interview interesting. Best position player in Jays history and he did it in less time than the other all-time greats too.
  20. He wasn't too terrible this postseason.
  21. Not necessarily sad that this year is over. We smacked the Orioles and Rangers in the postseason and made it to the ALCS. The core of this team is likely to change though. Sad to see the possible end of the careers of Bautista and EE. Played huge parts in what were the only two successful seasons that we've had in the past 23.
  22. The Indians deserve it. Great job by them. They pitched very well all series long.
  23. Gentlemen it's been a pleasure. Hats off to Bautista and EE in what could be their final ABs.
  24. Lol just seemed like a decent play to me but if everyone wants to have an orgasm over it by all means.
