  1. Jarren "TMI" Duran has really fallen off a cliff
  2. I bet the red Sox thought they had an RBI single off the bat there lmao
  3. What a pitiful slide by Okamoto lol If that were Vlad he would have engaged his Superman mode and scores easy
  4. Valenzuela is slow as heck and the OF made a good play to charge it. When he caught the ball he was really far in. Of course he airmailed the throw but if it was on target and Val was running he would have been hosed.
  5. Bello is yet to have a swing and miss. Jays should be able to get some runs on this guy second time through.
  6. Lauer did look better there. Was touching 92 instead of 90. Got 3 swing and misses.
  7. 270 pound slap hitting DH Eeyore Jimenez is gone. Thank god. 🙌
  8. Yeah Straw is more of a bench player and when he does play he should hit 8th or 9th. But his career was dead in Cleveland and it does seem like the Jays have revived something in his bat. His batted ball data with the Jays is the best of his career.
  9. Varland is looking good out there as closer. When in doubt the guy that throws harder is better. First pitch last night he throws one right down the middle to Roman Anthony but because it was 99 mph Anthony couldn't do anything with it other than fouling it off,
  10. He projects horribly and the White Sox basically gave him to us for nothing. If they want to keep him around as a reclamation project I'm good with it but he should be a bench player at most. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets DFA'd if everyone is healthy.
  11. Lol at it being Popkins' fault that a lineup featuring Lenyn Sosa, Eloy Jimenez and Brandon Valenzuela isn't scoring enough runs He's a good MLB coach not a miracle worker
  12. I see we've reached that time of the year where the normally positive Brownie engages in full blown cynicism lol The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of Jays Centre 😁
  13. Brock aka the boss wants us to be nice to new users so I am going to do my best. The team was in the same spot last year only they didn't have any injuries to blame and they didn't fire him so I can't see how they would do so now fresh off a WS appearance. Add in the fact that he just signed a contract extension and it would take a massive losing streak to do so, and the losing streak would probably have to happen once we get relatively healthy as well.
  14. The Lauer fanboys must be tickled pink! Their boy is going to survive another turn through the rotation! Cease vs. Ranger Yesavage vs. Tolle (Berrios starting in Buffalo) Lauer v. Bello
  15. If we win we are in for the greatest summer of our lives If we lose it is death, despair and prospect gooning until the offseason In other words, this is a must win game
  16. Right now Corbin, Lauer and Scherzer are lined up to face the Red Sox in our next series. Hopefully we can get Yesavage in there for one of those games lol.
  17. With Yesavage and Berrios returning soon, this is a big start for both Max and Lauer. If Max deals we might have seen the last of Eric Lauer as a starting pitcher for the Jays. Might even be the last we see of him in a Jays uni period unless they are willing to option Mantiply who is throwing really well. If Max struggles, I could see an IL stint in his immediate future and it could buy Lauer some more time.
  18. Sounds like Springer could be back as soon as Saturday. Sunday or Monday seem more realistic. Barger shouldn't be too far behind but they might want to get him into some game action first. We'll probably get a good update tonight before the game.
  19. Gavin Williams vs. Scherzer Cantillo vs. Gausman Cecconi vs. Cease Tough matchup tonight but I like the other two a lot. The reinforcements are coming, it's probably series to series at this point. So let's win this series and then go on a run in May.
  20. Keys hitting left-handed and being able to play 3B gives him a great floor to work with. If he can hit at all he's at least a viable bench piece for a contender.
