  1. So what is it about Toronto that other Canadians don't like? Torontonians think their s*** don't stink and all that?
  2. We don't face him this series but what is up with Tanaka? His xFIP isn't that bad. His Hr/FB is high and so is it his BABIP. Is he just unlucky right now or is something else going on?
  3. ^that's some pretty good shitposting right there lol
  4. It's wishful thinking because I don't want there to be something wrong with his shoulder but he has played day games after night games before.
  5. Maybe he plans on playing Martin the rest of the series and since Estrada is "the easiest guy to catch" they are giving him an off day today to gear up for it?
  6. Yep, Bolsinger DFA'd and Campos recalled.
  7. Lol one of those crimes is not like the other.
  8. To bring this back on topic, I'm sure the Orioles TV ratings would rise. Their fans would all be at home watching the games individually instead of 20 or so inmates huddling around a TV while in jail.
  9. Well a discussion about felonies isn't totally off topic as the city of Baltimore is a crime-infested hell hole. Remember that time they had to play a game in front of literally 0 fans because violent riots were occurring throughout the city? Lots of felonies that day.
  10. Real life celebrity and Orioles Hangout mascot Roy Firestone might be responsible for one of the worst interviews of all time and, I agree, he's disgusting and not very pleasant to look at. But I'm not sure why the SPCA should get involved.
  11. I think Jones raises some good points. For example, and since he brought up Presidents, Obama throws like a girl due in part because he didn't have a dad show him how to throw. But he's wrong about Reagan and Bush. It's not their fault that the three strike policy exists. It was Bill Clinton who is responsible for that one with his 1994 crime bill.
  12. Sorry Brownie I didn't mean to be a jerk. I'm kidding with that last post but my resentment for grown men bringing gloves to the game was perpetuated by a Rockies game last week where an overweight thirty five year old man yelled at CarGo between every inning for a ball. CarGo probably couldn't even hear him and on top of it it would have been a pretty long toss. Seeing a grown man grovel to another for a little ball just didn't sit right with me.
  13. That swing is almost comical
  14. Lmao that thread is full of gems. Real life celebrity Roy Firestone is already throwing in the towel.
  15. Well your 10 year old should have a glove but you shouldn't because you are going to have to do dad things like carry everyone's s*** and will need both hands. And dad's have amazing reflexes anyway and don't need gloves.
  16. If you are over the age of 15 and you bring your glove to a baseball game you are a loser.
  17. When it's all said and done Mac will be looked upon as the far better player. He played in parts of 16 MLB seasons for good reason. Ryan Goins won't even sniff that. If you take their straight hitting stats they are basically the same. The difference is Mac played in the steroid era so more is expected of his bat so his wRC+ is lower. But their fielding isn't even comparable. Mac had 23 DRS in 2007 and was a good SS into his late 30's which kept him in MLB. Goins' defense is already slipping and it'd probably take a small miracle for him to remain a big leaguer through his early to mid 30's. In other words Mac's defense kept him replacement level for 16 seasons despite him hitting his decline years. Goins is in his prime and still can't muster positive WAR. As he hits his decline years he'll become unplayable.
  18. The pen has looked really really good. Grilli coming around only helps further strengthen it. I think Howell is the only "hang on to your seat" guy we have in the pen right now.
  19. I don't mind resting all your guys when a s*** pitcher is on the hill. Especially with the Yankees on tap next for 4 games.
  20. I love his celebrations. He's man who knows he doesn't have many more years left in the game and he's enjoying whatever success he still gets.
  21. Grilli looks serviceable again. He's put up a goose egg in 9 out of his last 10 outings now.
  22. Martin done goofed. Should have had a run there.
