  1. Corbin vs. Weathers Cease vs. Warren Yesavage vs. ScHitler Miles (PP) vs. Rodon
  2. Vlad snapping an 0 for 30 with a homer today was him getting ready for New York. He's going to mash.
  3. Yesavage vs. Madden (PP) Miles/Bullpen vs. Mize? Gausman vs. Flaherty Must-win series
  4. It very rarely happens. I think it's called the "brief and ineffective" exception and it's fairly new. I've seen it just a couple of times but the reliever needs to come in and just completely s*** the bed and cough up the lead for the scorer to take the win from him and give it to another reliever. Here's one example: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/36173995/oakland-chad-smith-gets-win-scorer-applies-obscure-rule
  5. The Yankees ace FRIED his elbow yesterday (see what I did there?) Volpe is back in the lineup and booting the ball around The Jays season was saved with a walk off grand slam How's everyone feeling today?
  6. You guys gotta read the replies to that Talkin' Yanks tweet. Some truly phenomenal stuff is being tweeted in there.
  7. Wait a second, I missed the Volpe error lmao We are already onto Step 3 lmao
  8. Yep, the Yankees are cooked. Step 1: The team ace gets hurt Step 2: The Yankees do a whole song and dance to delay inevitable surgery, thus putting his whole 2027 season in doubt <----we are currently here Step 3: Anthony Volpe makes an error in his season debut and the entire fanbase has a meltdown Step 4: Yanks back into a WC spot but Aaron Judge underperforms and the Yanks are bounced early Step 5: Yankees have a modest offseason and bring back Aaron Boone Step 6: Rinse and repeat in 2027
  9. And there go the Yankees' World Series hopes lmao Maybe next year guys!
  10. Sosa is so terrible. Closing in on 100 PAs without a single walk lmao. Can't play defense. Get him off the team.
  11. This bullpen is nuts: Late innings: Varland, Hoffman, Rogers Middle Relief: Fisher, Yariel, Fluharty Garbage Time: Nance, Mantiply Long Relief: Miles IL/AAA: Yimi, Little, Lee
  12. Yeah idk why they dialed him back from starting, especially with this new splitter. He probably just doesn't have the command and can't chew up the innings. Hopefully he can at least be a late-inning option or a multi-inning guy.
  13. Can I say something positive? Yariel was electric yesterday. Overall Stuff+ = 123 4-seamer = 87 Splitter = 150 Sinker = 140 Slider = 107 Location+ = 103 Pitching+ = 119 It's only 1 inning but if he can get anywhere close to that the rest of the year he will be a very solid late inning option.
  14. Must-win game with Corbin on the hill and Myles Straw batting 2nd with Lenyn Sosa hitting 5th. Jays win 4-2
  15. Paddack could be worth a shot. Pitcherlist was on his nuts for a long time but he's never been able to put it together.
  16. I read all of this on Twitter. Trust me. Barger's injury doesn't sound too bad. No bone chips, no ligament damage. Lauer Hour is over and the team is considering Miles, Dallas, Van Eyk, and outside options for the 5th starter role. Scherzer also got a cortisone shot in his thumb. Lukes will go on a rehab stint soon. Yimi Garcia was extra sore after his last rehab outing and will take a couple days off. Hoping he can throw in a game later this week. Kirk is hitting and throwing but not catching. Yariel will throw 1-2 inning outings. Bieber will face live hitters for the first time on Tuesday.
  17. Really feel for the Lauer Fanboys....seems like it was only yesterday that they were certain that a DFA wasn't possible. Now their boy is in DFA limbo, waiting to sign with the Colorado Rockies.
  18. Wow I didn't know that he can just flat out be optioned after 90 days of service time. I thought he had to be active for 90 but the rest could be IL time. That's good to know. In that case, just keep him until he hits 90 and then option him at which point you could probably consider shutting him down. He's barely pitched the past few years so I'm not sure they want to put any more than 80 innings on his arm max. That would give us 6 more years of control with 2 option years.
  19. After the year we've got him for 5 more seasons of control with 3 option years. Rule 5 picks don't get any better than this. I do worry about his workload. He's up to 21 innings this year which is already a career high in pro ball. We only need to have him on the active roster for 90 days in order to avoid any carryover restrictions next year and we are about half way at 45ish days so far. Maybe he can take Lauer's spot as the bulk starter? Then when Bieber is ready, he can replace Miles who goes to the IL with a phantom injury*? *assuming the Dodgers aren't the only team allowed to do that
  20. Yariel is coming up. Surely it's for Lauer? Then just slot Miles into his bulk pitcher role?
  21. Gausman vs. Rasmussen Corbin vs. McClanahan Cease vs. Jax
  22. Logging in to see if there is any talk on Yariel being called up and the speculation on who might be sent down (sorry Lauer fanboys but it ain’t looking good for your boy) Instead I see a dozen posts from Whifflenuts whining about god knows what
