  1. Someone please wake up Ross Standing Patkins with a cup of coffee. The Yankees have already made a half dozen trades and the two best players in baseball are on the block.
  2. This is a great idea actually. Just send them everyone in Buffalo and then promote everyone else in the org an entire level. The DSL team or whatever the hell it is will be empty but just sign thirty 16 year old Dominicans this winter. All the prospect nerds will whine about it but no one will be able to hear them after we celebrate Juan Soto batting leadoff for the defending World Series Champs.
  3. Trade every prospect we have, who cares we can always get more. I guarantee you none of them will be as good as Juan Soto.
  4. I SWEAR TO GOD if Ross "Sit on His Ass"-Kins gets A SINGLE HOUR of sleep tonight he should be fired on the spot. I will buy one share of Rogers stock and will demand to see his cell phone bill at the next shareholders meeting. If I see anything even remotely resembling a break for sleep on that cell phone bill his ass will be fired on the spot after I call for a vote. WAKEY WAKEY ROSS it's time to start trading prospects.
  5. Fleece the Nats for Soto, win 2 World Series with him and then flip him for prospects better than the ones we gave the Nats in the first place. This s*** is easy.
  6. Yeah and Sportsnet will have a field day with him coming back.
  7. Now you're talking. Let the Nats pick whatever 4 prospects they want. It's time to win the WS.
  8. He's a perfectly fine backend SP who costs a ham sandwich to acquire. Him, Kikuchi and Stripling can handle the 4 and 5 spots and will also battle it out for the #4 SP spot in the playoff rotation. He's nothing special but provides what we need to make sure we get into the playoffs.
  9. Did Atkins go on vacation or something? Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone are building a superteam and Ross Stand-Pat-kins is asleep at the wheel. WAKE UP ROSS. Put your team of nerds to bed, roll up your sleeves, grab a bottle of bourbon and start shipping prospects out for veteran talent ASAP.
  10. Agreed. I'm sure there's more coming from their end but if not, they might have been better off keeping him.
  11. He has an awful contract but he's pretty decent and fills a need so there's some room to get creative there. But the contract is so bad I'm not sure anyone would even take it on for free. So they would either throw in salary (doesn't seem like their MO to throw in much) or we could expand the package that we get. Maybe we could get Syndergaard (new #5) Silseth (good AAA depth) and a couple mil in addition to Igelsias for some fringe prospects with 40-man roster concerns.
  12. At least you don't have to see his lard ass when he's on the radio.
  13. Wow I can't believe you give this analysis away for free!
  14. They've got enough bullets left for Soto if they really want him.
  15. Put the names in a hat and draw them idc. Bottom line is Montas is not much better than what they've already got. The only thing I'm really bummed about is that Ross didn't have the AAA reliever prospects that tickled Billy Beane's fancy.
  16. RISK ADVERSE-KINS ROSS SITTING ON HIS ATKINS ROSS ATKINS DIET (because he treats trades like someone on the Atkins diet treats carbs) Am I missing any others? Or should we wait until the trade deadline is still over 24 hours away?
  17. I was assuming that Cole and Cortes would be #1 and #2. And yeah, you're right on the rest of it. Solid deal for them but also doesn't scare me either.
  18. It's similar to the Benitendi trade in that it doesn't really raise the bar all that much over what they already had. Montas the new #3 come playoff time and the #4 is between Montgomery or Taillon.
  19. The A's are like that guy in your fantasy league who makes terrible trades all the time. I'd like to launch a veto campaign against their latest trade but we've gone to the well too many times to be that upset about it.
  20. How do you not get one of the Yankee SS prospects if you're the A's lol Yankees still have plenty of bullets left
  21. Yankees assembling one of the greatest roster of all time. Meanwhile, we've got Ross "Sitting on his" ASS-kins. DO SOMETHING
  22. I don't think we really have a comparable return but yeah Castillo would be the closest thing.
  23. It wouldn't really bother me that much if the Yankees did get him. It'd almost be like the Benitendi trade (decent trade but just marginal improvement) but on a bigger scale meaning they'd have to give up more prospect capital. They've already got a pretty good 4-man playoff rotation. Montas would be making a few starts instead of either Montgomery, Taillon or German depending on what they would decide to do.
  24. This is an interesting trade. -Brewers get a Hader replacement in Rogers before he hits FA at the end of the year. Then they get two prospects and a wild card reliever on top of it. -Padres get a year and a half of Hader. Weird to see two contenders make a trade like this but given the strengths of each team I think it makes a lot of sense for both sides.
  25. Trading Cimber makes zero sense lol. We need to acquire more good relievers in addition to the ones we already have.
