  1. The dumbest take I've seen this year. Congrats.
  2. Well we all know he's good, I'm just trying to gauge whether he's an All-Star or Hall of Famer so I know how high I can let my expectations can get. I'm leaning Hall of Fame for now.
  3. So it's extremely early with an extremely SSS that doesn't even qualify him, but the early returns on Babe's fielding, running and arm: Fielding: His fielding has been very good. 86% success rate with an estimated success rate of 83% at 2B. In LF it's 75% and 74%. Arm Strength: His max arm strength is 72.5 mph right now. That would be pretty atrocious but it's only 33 throws so far (4 in LF the rest at 2B) so he probably hasn't had to uncork anything yet. He's playing 3B tonight so we'll get a better look at his arm. Sprint Speed: 27.4 ft/s which is 53rd percentile. With all the bombs he's hitting he hasn't had to run too hard so this could go up as well. Also his Max EV so far is only 107.5 which is 30th percentile. In the minors though he hit one 109.7 which would put him in the 54th percentile.
  4. Lol @ Vlad's fat ass back at 3B. The guy can't even play 1B.
  5. I get why they didn't as it's hard to demote a 2 WAR player after a bad 150 ABs. And really, the ABs from #30 to 150 or so were fine, he got off to a 2 for 33 start or something like that. But the defense has been putrid and then he's starting to slump again so now it's 200 ABs of s***** play. It's definitely time now if it wasn't before. He's also made some huge mental errors. He had that fielding play against the Dodgers where he just gave up on a play and then he is swinging at Ball 4 yesterday. He also sucked the 2nd half of last year. Time for a demotion pal. But in general, I think the FO has been too forgiving with both the bench and the latter half of the lineup. Veterans are getting tons of rope, meanwhile: -Waiting forever to call up Schneider. And then inexplicably sitting him for an entire week. -Biggio, Espinal, Varsho, etc. all getting TONS of rope. -Chapman and Vlad need to play a lot but i think a couple more off days wouldn't have hurt. -In addition to Schneider, we have Clement, Horowitz, Barger, Lantigua, etc. all hitting the s*** out of the ball in AAA but not only is the FO hellbent on the Biggio's and Espinal's of the team, but they'll even give a guy like Jordan Luplow a chance before they try a young guy.
  6. Clement should have taken over the Espinal role a month ago.
  7. Clement could be starting at SS depending on what's up with Bo's availability today.
  8. A Sportsnet puff piece which relies heavily on the "his father is a HoFer" narrative? Really good stuff here. We don't even need arbitrary start dates with links like this.
  9. Yeah losing that series to Cleveland was a real dagger. It ain't over yet but there is no denying that the season is on the brink after that series.
  10. I'm sure the team has considered it. They HATE playing Cavan there but they even have him over there before they put Schneids. Regardless, my point was that it shouldn't be hard to get Schneider in the lineup. Just pencil him in everyday and then make the decisions about who else is in the lineup afterward. The dude is mashing and clearly needs to be playing every day.
  11. His batting average is approaching the Mendoza line again you guys. He also apparently doesn't know where to bunt the ball. I know we Cavan Fans like to use arbitrary start points, but can we also use arbitrary end points too? So for example, "from May 1 to August 15th he slashed x/x/x" and then we just ignore the 2+ years prior to that and then ignore the 2 weeks since? Just trying to gauge what works and what doesn't. I've never simped for a player this bad before. Thanks.
  12. Ok you guys I have to tell ya, being a Cavan Biggio supporter is HARD. How have you fellow fanboys been able to support him so much and for so long? I’m about a week in and feel like giving up already.
  13. Just play him at 2B or LF every day and figure out everything else after. He’s too good to sit.
  14. I’ve been banging the Babe Schneider drum louder than anyone but he doesn’t play SS or 3B
  15. Are Bo and Chapman going to miss any time? We need to get Barger and/or Clement up if so.
  16. Against lefties it’s easy, Schneider is in. Against righties you can rest Whit, Springer or even KK or Varsho. But Schneider should be playing close to every day.
  17. 10 years 200 mil to lock Babe Schneider up through his age 34 season. Who says no?
  18. Unleash the Babe and the playoffs will be easy to make
  19. Well look at that, the Babe delivers
  20. I don’t understand why Schneider is only good enough to play once a week but when he does play he’s also good enough to bat 5th? At least he’s in the game. Hopefully he can shake the rust off.
  21. We face a lefty tomorrow and the offense is in a deep rut. Surely they can get him into the lineup somehow. At this point he’s so rusty I don’t think we can blame him if he doesn’t hit a game winning homer though.
  22. I don’t even know what to say at this point. Never seen a guy get glued to the bench after hitting a game winning homer before. Cavan Biggio gets a week’s worth of playing time after a couple of singles. Maybe Schneider must be benched for a violation of team rules or something?
