  1. I love watching him pitch. Seems like with his kitchen sink arsenal he's battling the pitch com the entire game. It's like watching my dad use his computer. He can do it but he's annoyed with it the entire time.
  2. I know everyone hates him and think he and KK are redundant and unnecessary but this is the best bench we've had in a long time. This will play out well over the course of the season for us. When injuries hit, other contenders are going to be using replacement level talent (the Yankees ran into this problem last year) while we can throw in a 1.5-2 WAR player without skipping a beat.
  3. Tomorrow is a big game, Kikuchi vs Gilbert The Rockies come to town for an easy sweep after that Win tomorrow and the 6 game win streak will be easy to make
  4. hell yeah it does just needed a little home cooking to start things up
  5. Love seeing the Mariners manager looking all solemn in the dugout as we kick their ass this series I will never forget the pain and anguish (and months of therapy) that came from witnessing them comeback from 8-1 in the playoffs two years ago
  6. Yeah the metrics don't like him much but I agree that he definitely passes the eye test.
  7. I also agree with Vlad's decision to not hustle until he needed to. NEVER hustle, it only gets you hurt
  8. The end result was a ground ball but I thought those were pretty good swing decisions from Vlad.
  9. You are close! It's 98 mph with a launch angle of 26 to 30 degrees. The harder you hit the ball, the larger the launch angle range becomes.
  10. Varsho batting 9th the day after sitting is an ominous sign for him. Fans will bat a guy 9th on a whim but for the actual team to do it after batting him in the middle of the lineup for a week and then sitting him doesn’t make me confident about his chances to turn things around.
  11. I’ve seen plenty of Biggio over the years and I can’t say I’ve been impressed. He’s basically replacement level 3 years running. Havent seen a ton of Kinder Falafel but his defense seems to be as good as advertised and his ABs have been fine as well. Doesn’t seem to have much power but he sprays the ball around. Seems like a good base runner as well and 20+ steals is in reach with enough PT. If he gets regular run at 3B I think he’ll put up the WAR. But hey, they fit naturally in a platoon and almost everyone agrees they are toward the bottom of the roster so it’s kind of splitting hairs.
  12. I'd like to see Clement in there for Biggio but otherwise I have no complaints.
  13. my PTSD was triggered hard on the blooper to CF
  14. Yeah it's a soft dark green and the ad itself is the classic logo with some simple lettering. Makes me want to drink a ginger ale. The TD ad is ok. It's a little too busy with all the white lettering though. That red ad, whoever it is, sucks and I will be boycotting the company that produced that ad.
  15. It depends. The Canada Dry ads look pretty darn good actually. But then it will switch to some bright red one that sucks.
  16. The great Geddy Lee is in attendance tonight I bet you he isn't panicking about the 4-6 start
