    If we keep Teo in 2023 instead of trading him for a legit setup man and then using the savings on Belt and KK we probably miss the playoffs that year. Swanson, Belt and KK all had very very good years and Teo was really mediocre. The Atkins haters have so much ammo to use to prove their points. Why they keep falling on the Teo sword when it was clearly a good trade for us I will never understand. Just let it go fellas!

    Wow! Crazy how the WS teams last year just didn't look so hot this year. It's almost as if the playoff are a crapshoot.

    This is why it's important to try and field a winner. We sucked ass after the 90s championships and the fanbase dwindled down to almost nothing. All it took to build it back up was to make the playoffs a few times in the past ten seasons. We've now got a pretty darn good fanbase. 9th in attendance for a last place team is great.

    Swanson might be back. In his last 14 appearances (12 IP) dating back to August 23rd: 12.0 K/9 2.25 BB/9 1.50 ERA 2.33 FIP Was a possible non-tender candidate but I think it's an easy decision to bring him back now. Could be huge for the '25 bullpen.

    Well said. I agree on the contract, it's tough to say what he'll get. Defense first profile often get paid less than you think. Kind of hard to imagine anything beyond 5 for 100 but it's possible.

    Good point. I love how it took these other teams just 30 and then 4 games, respectively, to decide that Craig Biggio's son is ass before they tell him to pack his bags. Meanwhile, it took the Jays 490 games to finally cut bait. Not to mention that we lost gold glove caliber infielders in the process. SMH

    Otto Lopez is putting together a solid year. 2.2 WAR in just 380 ABs. We just had to keep Craig Biggio's son around for years on end instead of giving guys like him a shot.

    Yeah we should shut some starters down and go with some bullpen days. The more Zach Pop down the stretch the better.

    Ok at this point of the season let's tank. We just jumped the Pirates for the 5th overall pick. We won't be able to get any higher than that but we could easily drop to 7th, and maybe 8th. Let's make sure we get 5th. Also, it only took me two tries on Tankathon to win the lottery this morning.

    I agree but I don't think we could outbid Houston for him. You have to assume they are as high or higher on him than any team in MLB. They gave up a shitload to get him and he's been dealing. They probably match any offer we gave him.

    If it weren't for the stupid pose I'd say let's sign him for 4 mil with incentives next year. But he's going to get a HARD PASS from me because I can't watch that pose for a full season.

    I think we fired somebody in the pitching department. Pretty sure it was all his fault so we should be fine next year.

    I'll give you the Teo trade merely because I don't want to debate it anymore. But two mid-tier FA signings and trading turds like Tellez and Frasso are pretty close to scrap heap like moves.

    As s***** as everyone thinks this team is, please ponder the following. If you replaced this year's bullpen with last year's (which finished the year with 4.6 WAR) you would add almost 8 wins to our total. That would give us a record of 80-71 which would put us in a tie with the Twins for the WC3 spot. If Ross can merely build an average bullpen next year, the playoffs will be easy to make.
