  1. That's when you switch to some World Cup action and relax instead of rage posting about how Brendon Little is ruining your life
  2. Why is everyone losing their damn minds? Yeah, calling up Little and demoting a long man sure was a bad time for Kevin Gausman to completely crap the bed, but is it really THAT big of a deal?? We got through the game while using mostly the B-team relievers (Hoff, Varland and Flu all got rest) and we can just option Little for Macko to get a fresh arm for tomorrow. It's not like Little lost us the game. In fact, he confirmed he still has the yips and it was a good time for us to find that out. But all that aside, it's frigging baseball, these games happen. Back at it tomorrow.
  3. Gausman vs. Brown Corbin vs. Rea Cease vs. Imanaga Pretty manageable pitching matchups this series.
  4. I'm not sure what numbers you are looking at. Are you just eyeballing whether he got a lot of saves that season or not? And then looking at his numbers for that year? It's hard to quantify whether he is better in a "closer role" or not when looking at the splits, but over the course of his career he has pitched the best in the 8th inning, with the 9th inning stats following close behind. He is actually much worse in the 7th and 6th. Of course, we are talking 50 to 100 innings for each of these scenarios so the sample sizes are extremely small. He's also much better in High Leverage situations than he is in Medium or Low Leverage.
  5. In no particular order: His wedding Birth of his first child June 18, 2026 when the Jays swept the Red Sox and ended their season
  6. Yeah this would be a godsend for college baseball. But eliminating high school players just feels wrong. Dreaming on high school talent has always been a huge part of pro baseball.
  7. The chowderheads are really going through it right now lmao
  8. Currently perusing their Roster Resource page to see what players I want from them at the deadline They are terrible so it is slim pickings but it's not going to stop me from spamming Twitter with my favorite one-sided deals anyway
  9. Sweeping the Sox and officially ending their season lmao SUMMER IS BACK ON BOYS
  10. No he had a good lead and just kind of froze on contact. Then as the ball skipped past him he started running toward third. But he could clearly see the ball heading right toward the SS, yet he decided to run anyway. Just a total brain fart.
  11. I don't understand Sanchez watching a slow grounder roll past him only to then start running. That is just brutal base running.
  12. Look at that bullpen chart lmao Trey needs to find the zone today and give us 5 at a minimum, ideally 6. Chad Dallas will probably have to throw today.
  13. 16 games in a row against a doable part of the schedule and the team is healthy enough. No more excuses. It's time to put up or shut up and make a move in the standings. It starts with burying the Red Sox by winning this series.
  14. Cease vs. Tolle Scherzer vs. Bennett Yesavage vs. Gray
  15. Yeah he seems to have gotten a mile of velo back on his fastball but his FIP is still really bad with the Dodgers and he is striking out even less with them than he did here.
  16. Always buy and never sell (unless it's obvious)
  17. Just got out of jail this morning after starting several fist fights at my local dive after the game yesterday so pardon the delay. But I am absolutely FURIOUS that we dropped this series against the Yankees. Especially after we pummeled them the first game, and then Cam Shitter talks crap, Caballero's shenanigans, etc. Dropping the last two like that because we can't buy a base hit with RISP was a TOTAL and COMPLETE kick in the nuts. We really need to buckle down here the next 4 series. We have an off day today and then 16 straight games against: @ BOS, @ CHC, vs. HOU and vs. Texas. This is a doable part of the schedule and with Bieber set to return during this period the team may never be healthier than it will be for this stretch of games. It's time to start playing better.
  18. The Cam S-Hitler Experience crap talks his opponents' fan base right before an upcoming road trip Fans predictably let him have it Cam cries about being mistreated by opposing fans Why are the Yankees like this?
  19. Yankees- I'm almost as big of a Yankee hater as I am a Jays fan Orioles- crybabies and they think way too highly of themselves despite having such a light resume both past and present Red Sox- an enemy of my enemy is my friend so I enjoy some of their Yankee bashing twitter accounts, but when they are good I'd bump them up above the Orioles Rays- nothing to really dislike about them other than the ass beatings they give us
  20. Bieber threw 5 scoreless innings in Buffalo last night. SWR threw 4 scoreless innings in MLB his last outing. Spencer Miles is thriving as a bulk pitcher. I hate to say it but it's time...
