I wonder if AA would try to expand a potential deal to include Phillips or Bailey like he did with the Marlins to get Reyes. Though in retrospect, he probably should have just traded for Reyes and expended the other assets elsewhere. -
Sigh. The knock on him was he didn't have a curveball and yet he throws 3 there for strikes (1 swinging). The sad thing is he could be up in the big leagues by mid way next year, maybe even spring training if he pulls a Jose Fernandez.

Yeah, I don't get Keith Law's criticism of Sanchez. He downgraded his opinion of him based on his new "stiff, upright delivery," when he often sings the praises Kohl Stewart in spite of having the same concerns with his delivery.

He's black, with "swag" there's no way AA trades him. He'd probably trade the White/Spanish Sanchez first.

100% agree. Brown would basically be a throw in. We could even flip him to another team. Send Happ to Philly as well to replace Lee and make up for the difference in Bautista and Lee's salary.

Brown's pretty good too though. He was a top 20 prospect in baseball for a while and last year he finally looked like he was breaking out hitting .272 with 27 homeruns. AA and JP coveted him since the beginning of time so it makes some sense. If we got Lee and also got Brown a young player to replace Bautista I like it.

Brown + Lee for Bautista + Happ would be a decent trade I think. Or maybe I younger pitcher going back like Hutch or Nolin.

I would go up to 2/24 or 3/27 . We NEED an upgrade at catcher and he is that. I really hope we can get him. I truly believe a competent catcher will help improve our rotation.
