  1. LOL. I have an interest in Kate Beckinsale but only if my wife lets me.
  2. I thought it was known boardwide? My bad.
  3. Really? There's two different songs. The intro is a Japanese song called sakura "cherry blossoms" played on a multi-stringed koto in traditional sokyoku style.
  4. Andrus to the Cardinals for one of their young pitchers (Miller, Wacha, Martinez, Rosenthal, Lynn) would seem to make sense, Texas might have to send some money over though.
  5. Yeah, the language was a little mangled because I had to fit everything into the song, and hit certain notes for effect. Same reason for the fast moving words. I'm not really sure how to fix it, short of completely re-writing the entire intro, which is why I'm gauging which is better. If number 2 ends up being preferred I'll just run with it and not make the effort to change number 1.
  6. Hey guys I made some changes to my original Tanaka campaign video. I decided to make it a facebook petition instead of an indiegogo campaign. Each post and like on the facebook page will count as a signature. That way I don't have to carry any sort of fiduciary responsibility and more people are likely to participate. If we could get 1mm likes or posts that would be awesome. Anyway I have two versions of the video to decide between. I would appreciate if you could tell me which one I should go with and why. 7. If I'm the Jays I'm selling high on Rasmus. He may never be this good again and we could address a major need. The Reds need to replace Choo's bat and Latos is controllable for 2 more years I believe. The question is what would the + have to be?
  8. What about Rasmus + for Latos?
  9. Juiced/admin is still working out some things with the blog, but I think it shouldn't be too long before it's up. I believe JFAS and NJH have some content ready to go already.
  10. Hey guys, I'm going to be one of the contributors for the new Blog on this site along with JFAS, NJH and Juiced. One of the segments I wanted to do was a "This Week In Pictures" which would detail something happening with the Blue Jays, Toronto, and the Major or Minor leagues through caricaiture, cartoon, photo, gif, etc. Something along the lines of my Zaun 101 spoof. Since the blog's not quite ready yet and I figured this is somewhat time sensitive, here's my latest work. http://2imgs.com/e19d1c36e5
  11. Outfield apparently. I think Davidson's good. Best high school hitter in the draft. But I don't think he's top 3 good. He's like the Dominic Smith Jr. of this draft, maybe with slightly more present power. My top 10 personally would be: 1. Tyler Kolek 2. Alex Jackson 3. Grant Holmes 4. Brady Aiken 5. Luis Ortiz 6. Kodi Meideiros 7. Scott Blewett 8. Alex Verdugo 9. Michael Gettys 10. Derek Hill

  13. Scout put up their list for the top 142 prep prospects for 2014
  14. Is it too early to say Stroman > Young Beedah?

  16. I'd actually prefer Garza to Ubaldo. He has a longer and more consistent track record of success, and has pitched well in the East in the past, plus you don't have to give up a pick. I wouldn't mind Scott Kazmir either. He's a risk as well, but if you can get him for two years at 10-12 per he'd be a solid addition, and won't cost a compensation pick either.
  17. From Baseball Prospectus:
  18. This is relevant with regards to Marcus Stroman who has been compared to Sonny Gray in the past and shares a similar physical profile. Both Gray and Stroman are small RHP with low to mid 90s fastballs and a plus breaking pitch. The key difference I can see is that Gray gets to pitch in a great pitcher's park and Stroman will play at Roger's launch pad. Gray's era on the road is almost 2 runs higher. Hopefully Stro can have similar if not better success. It's good to know that the profile can play at the next level.
  19. To think how good we could have been if you could change 1 or 2 of AA's moves over the last 3 years. Deck over Chris Sale Not bidding high enough for Chapman Not bidding high enough for Darvish DJ Davis over Michael Wacha Trading for Johnson instead of trying to sign Sanchez Not trying to trade for Santana who the Royals got for a non-prospect. Not signing Martin Trading for Dickey If 1 or 2 of these things ended up differently (particularly 1 and 3) I have to think we're a playoff team if not more.
  20. I think in the end AA will realize that the best way to make this team better (short of spending money on free agents) both for the short and long term might be to trade one of Bautista, Encarnacion, or Reyes. These three have the most value on our team, and would bring in the greatest return. If we're looking to fill our holes in the rotation, catcher, second base via trade (which AA has said will be his primary avenue), and you don't want to touch the roster, you're probably looking at trading Aaron Sanchez, Marcus Stroman, Dan Norris, and more. If you trade Bautista, Encarnacion, or Reyes however, you would be freeing up 14mm-16mm in salary and likely adding 2-3 good young pieces, at least 1 of which should be ready to contribute right away. Hypothetically: Bautista to Cardinals for Miller/Wacha + Wong/Carpenter Use the payroll flexibility to sign Ruiz/Choo + Tanaka/Garza/Santana/Ubaldo Texas for Holland + Odor Use the payroll flexibility to sign Ruiz/Choo + Tanaka/Garza/Santana/Ubaldo Pittsburgh for Walker + Glasnow Use the payroll flexibility to sign Ruiz/Choo + Tanaka/Garza/Santana/Ubaldo Arizona for Prado + Skaggs + Miley Use the payroll flexibility to sign Ruiz/Choo + Tanaka/Garza/Santana/Ubaldo
  21. I could get behind that. Tabby is such a boring lifeless color guy I saw people at zombie walk dressed as him. Derosa might actually have something interesting to contribute.
  22. The only second basemen I would consider trading Stroman for are Kendrick 2.7WAR (ANA) or Neil Walker 2.7 WAR (PIT). Apparently the Rangers are looking to salary dump Kinsler. He shouldn't cost Stroman given his salary (16mm this year and next) but is worth 2.5 WAR in an average year. Maybe something around one of our excess starters or relievers. I wonder if they'd be interested in Drabek as a reclamation project. Our biggest need after number 1 pitcher though should be catcher. The Brewers need prospects desperately and aren't going anywhere for a few years. I would consider Stroman for Lucroy 3.6 WAR. One of the most underrated catchers in baseball offensively and defensively. If not sign Carlos Ruiz (averages about 2.5 WAR).
