  1. As far as the religious debate in the NBA thread...while I always enjoy a good connor pile on, he is 100% right here. Atheists, especially of the liberal kind, have got to be the fastest growing group of f***ing morons who lack any self-awareness and think they are smart. A bunch of Brian Griffin clones who lack the personal drive and cognitive ability to do anything with their lives except suck and complain on the internet but have no problems trashing far more accomplished gentlemen like Ben Carson.
  2. My gosh. The Brit who is the poster child for beta male cuckery and is grinning from ear to ear as his former world power homeland is going down the shitter is calling someone else a f***ing idiot. Someone who has made millions of dollars, got to retire at a young age decades before Bob, and who is spending his money and his life as he sees fit. LOL.
  3. Another fun fact about Gurriel is that he earned about half of his seven year contract with this little outburst. If he keeps anything like this up, his $/WAR could be less than a million.
  4. Why do people keep bringing up the Happ trade? He was a rental in his 30's who only started to be good in his 30's so he didn't have the pedigree of a David Price. The Jays will get much more for Stroman.
  5. Abomination must have been on the spanky sauce last night. In no universe will the league like the Yankees coming into Fenway five times a decade. I like the idea of 32 teams, I just really hope that the league doesn't go with an 8x4 division format like the NFL. 4x8 with a less imbalanced schedule works well. Also Montreal is an NL team. If Montreal gets the Rays, the Senators err, Nationals should switch leagues with them. I like everything how it was back in the 1970's.
  6. This is the turning point just like 30 years ago back in 1989 when the team started off like s*** then came back against the Red sox down 10-0 late one game and never looked back. Book it!
  7. Bol Bol dropped hard in the draft. He would have been a nice pickup if the Raptors had the opportunity. I know super tall players don't make it much of anywhere in the league anymore but I'm surprised no one was willing to use their late first round pick on him. He's an actual basketball player not a string bean with limbs like his dad was. Also, what's up with that name? I'm hoping that's some kind of Sudanese tradition.
  8. Also, why is Boxcar stealing someone's avatar like a 4 year old once again? Someone got raped on a fantasy trade or something?
  9. Trudeau's fault for showing up yesterday. Don't you know the rules? We cannot have anything nice in this city without someone vomiting over a piece of it. This thread is in prime timing to degenerate to politics until the free agent period opens. It reminds me of that patch of land on my property that doesn't grow grass because it's too shady, and every year the weeds encroach on it.
  10. Jays ASG 2019 representative.
  11. Neither Trudeau nor Ford had any business being there. Panderers. Trudeau should have gotten booed as much or more than Ford but dumb, young Toronto crowd.
  12. Still favoured to stick around at -115: https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/kawhi-leonard-odds
  13. The LeBron apologetics are strong in this one. Picks one kinda sorta maybe weakness for the Pelicans and focuses on that. How about the three first rounders? Lakers fans better hope this year is much less of a clusterf*** and that Davis can stay healthy. Williamson, the fourth pick plus a couple of young guys that could thrive out of LA. The Pelicans could be pretty good next year.
  14. This makes the Kawai deal look even better. The Lakers mortgaged their future, the Raptors made theirs brighter with a salary dump, plus a banner.
  15. At best all I can tune into is some of the at bats.
  16. I feel like anyone still watching these games and actively posting here is in one of those contests where you try to be the last person with their hand on a prize in order to win it. But instead of winning something nice like a car, you win disappointment and irritation and witnessing very bad baseball.
  17. So yeah as I expected the Ujiri/cop scandal is blowing up into another race debate. Ah well. If some racist ******* cop helps Masai determine that he's gotta stay the hell away from the United States, it will be a good thing for the Raptors.
  18. Yes! Tanenbaum and that piece of s*** Ed Rogers who nearly f***ed up our baseball team with his tampering stupidity. Rich idiots don't deserve nice things but get it.
  19. I'm liking the whole "Masai's gamble paid off" conversation popping up once again. A gamble implies a winning and a losing scenario. There was no gamble, the Kawai trade was a pure massive win from day one no matter the outcome for the Raptors this year and if he re-signs or not. Even the Gasol trade you could argue the gamble was limited since after several years the Raptors weren't going to get any more out of JV than what they already have under this coaching and player development system. He's not a gambler, he's just a smart basketball man. Ujiri rivals Pat Gillick as best executive we've seen in Toronto. I still give the edge to Gillick, but Ujiri's tenure is still (hopefully) ongoing.
  20. Man, so much easier to run an MLB franchise. Use up a pitcher in the first six years then send him to the trash heap once it's FA time.
  21. I can see the headlines now. "Successful black man goes to jail for minor altercation with a cop". That'll go over well in today's America!
  22. For now, who cares. Also with the Kawai BS Raptors are the youngest team to have won a championship. Them and the Heat are the only franchises younger than me to have won a championship. Respectable franchises like the Jazz and Suns still haven't won one yet and half the league's teams have either never won one or won it so long ago in a different city and era that it basically holds no meaning. Players and management may come and go but this can never be taken away from the Raptors.
  23. Have you ever used your f***ing brain before? This: Motherf***er, saskjaysfan is really stepping up his game to keep status as dumbest poster now since those two (maybe just one) idiots started trolling the general Jays board about Rogers not spending money.
  24. 1. Giles probably lasts longer in the league than Osuna. 2. Out of all positions, age is the least important factor for RP. No one signs them for 5+ years after arb. The better argument would have been years of control but you didn't bring that up.
