  1. What adjustments has he made this year? Oh wait, you have no clue. You ever watch a golfer go through a swing change? The results get worse before they get better. I have no clue what he's been working on or what kind of weather conditions he may have had to deal with. All your posts are full of conjecture....
  2. Not having cecil, bats, and lawrie has been troublesome for sure....bats is back, but until he can play the field we use him to dh and lind sits, so that's not ideal against right handers..although it's nice to have lind's bat off the bench. Hopefully bats can get in the field soon and Lind to DH. Jays in first at the All star break for me!
  3. Estrada isn't exactly the toughest righty in the world. We need bautista. He needs to get some at bats and confidence going...I'd say that's a pretty good start.
  4. how about jesse chavez....pitchers come out of no where all the time. They make mechanical adjustments, they learn new pitches...they get confidence. If AA trades Sanchez and in 2 years he turns into a stud, you'll be the first one posting on this board about what AA was an idiot and you knew all along how great his stuff was and that he would be a good pitcher.
  5. As far as mechanics go....forgive me if I question your unquestionable knowledge. He's struck out 8.8 bats per nine in buffalo. 7.8 per 9 in new Hampshire, 7.8 per 9 last year. What stat were you looking at that drew you to the conclusion that he can't miss bats? Look at all the scouting reports out there. None of them are saying he's garbage and won't make the bigs. Most are calling him a number 3 with stuff to be better, but lack of command be better at this point. The magic light that goes off that allows pitchers to command their stuff better can come along late or never at all. Most scouts come to conclusions about a guy and his mechanics by actually watching a player multiple times..not by reading other scouts reports. As far as ranking our prospects..who cares. You'd be crazy not to like what Stroman has done. He's doing well in the bigs. Norris is looking great and the kid seemingly has the right mental make up. Sanchez could be number 3, but then I'd prefer to keep all three. I'm not ready to give up on Sanchez by any stretch of the imagination.
  6. 9 ks per 9, 7.2 hits per 9 and a .4hr per 9 for his minor league career and he doesn't miss bats...WTF are you talking about? Dude needs to command his stuff better. He has great sink to his fastball....a start with 1 walk is a great sign...a bunch of ground ball outs is a good sign.
  7. That's this year....the 5 mil player salary cap does not include coaches or admin salaries...that said, the players got screwed in their deal....4.4 mil from the tv deal and the salary cap is 5 mil...feel bad for the players.
  8. The Argos don't disclose financials. Their owner keeps talking about the money he's losing. Based on others that publicly disclose, I can't see how the argos made money last year. With the new TV deal they should easily break even. The Riders have 43 million in a combination of cash and long term investments, so yeah...they would be worth 100 mil. They are a community owned team though, so it's hard to say what their revenues would be like if privately owned...however a privately owned business person wouldn't have the excess fat in administration that this publicly owned team does. I mean the Riders cash flowed 12.7 mil last year! I put the Argos at 10 because of the new TV deal. The TV deal covers more than 60% of the player salary cap...if you can't break even under those circumstances it's pretty sad.
  9. The only Team that would be close to being worth 50 mil would be the Riders....the Argos lose money each year. With the new TV deal even the Argos should be able to make a few bucks or a least break even...but 50 mil...come on. The Ottawa Redblacks paid a 7 mil franchise fee...10 mil is probably what the Argos are worth.
  10. seriously...are you inside his head? What do you know about what he is caring about. You comment is pure conjecture...
  11. he got the grounder to end the inning....I wouldn't worry about mcgowan
  12. butterball....man of the match to steal a world cup footy term......way to step up with bats and lawrie out!
  13. come on jays....do it for the 4 fans on this board that believe you can!
  14. rasmus can catch up to this heat...keep bringing the fastball
