  1. he's 23 and a .400 OBP with 26 bombs this year. He played as well as he possibly could this year and wasn't promoted to AAA. He'll be in his decline years by the 7th year if the continue to wait to start his service clock. I don't see why they wouldn't call him up.
  2. 6 innings 9ks 2 walks 2 runs 5 hits 98 pitches for SRF
  3. so is there any chance biggio gets a september call up?
  4. Is he elroy's brother?
  5. His stuff looks good. I'm not too worried about the results of his first outing. He'll have some ups and downs.
  6. I loved that interview with SRF....so was the 5th inning different from the first? No not really, I was pretty much nervous on every pitch of the game. Not your typical after I got through the first batter, it was just baseball as usual response. Nice to see the honesty! These starts he's getting now are so important to prepare him for next year.
  7. Travis is looking like the old Travis again
  8. 5.2 IP, 3 H 1 R, 0 BB 8 Ks.....or 10 straight balls and he gets pulled...probably going to be one or the other
  9. I was pretty vocal about my displeasure about SRF not being called up so props to management for bringing him and Jansen up. We're a long shot to get a wild card next year with such a young team, but giving these 2 guys a month and a half in the bigs is going to help them a lot if they are both on the opening roster for next season.
  10. 10Ks per nine, 2.9 walks per 9 and .6hrs per nine in 77.1 innings with the Bisons this year. I'm guestimating they don't want to start his service clock. I'm guestimating they don't plan on competing in 2019. I'm guestimating we will see 2 Garcia's signed in the off season for next year's rotation.
  11. That's so beyond ridiculous. Why are they so worried about 7 years down the road? Vlad Guerrero, a sure fire all star. Ok, I get it. Bring him up 3 weeks into the season next year. Sean Reid Foley would really benefit from 6 or 7 starts in the bigs this year to prepare him for next year. He should be given a chance to make the rotation out of spring training next year. If he does, giving him these starts won't matter for his service clock. Are we not trying to compete next year? Or are we shooting to compete in 2022?
  12. What does Sean Reid Foley have to do to get noticed. Do I really have to watch Hauschild start?
  13. so no chance of competing in the next 2 years?
  14. that's a real classy response.. I like this trade a lot better than the Happ trade.
  15. why isn't Biggio being moved up to AAA?
  16. Pearson has pitched 1.2 innings this year, 21.2 total innings in the minors. His injury was unfortunate. Even the most aggressive management team would find it hard to put a guy in the majors with so little time. If he hadn't got hurt this year, mid 2019 might have been realistic. It's 2020 for Pearson imo. I agree with you on Marco. I loved the guy, but we need to move on. I would resign Happ, but Marco's body is too beaten up.
  17. they don't want to start SRF's service clock, and the more games they lose the better from here on out.
  18. I know you guys love your rebuilds...It will be really exciting for you guys when we trade Vlad in 3 or 4 years. Who needs pitching
  19. Drury is hot garbage...he's never going to be a better than average player. Ask Arizona if they would take Drury back for Widener....they wouldn't be able to stop laughing. We should have traded happ for a single A pitcher, but we got that coveted slightly below average depth piece that Shatkins loves. Taking a risk on a player...not exactly shatkins style....we're stuck in perpetual mediocrity.
  20. This team desperately needs pitching. All this management team does is trade and draft middle infielders. They collect SS and 2nd basemen like my aunt collected beanie babies in the 90s....it's ridiculous.
  21. all a guy like Drury does is prevent better young players from being promoted to the big leagues. This management team doesn't want to attempt to compete next year either. It wouldn't surprise me if Vlad plays AAA the entire year next year.
  22. I didn't say I didn't like what I've seen. He's a solid 5/6 guy. He's battled. I just think SRF could benefit from some time in the majors this year and he could be in the rotation from day one of the season next year. I know, no one wants to start the service clock, but I'm the eternal optimist....I think the jays could be a young team that competes for a wild card position next year.
  23. I've seen enough of Gaviglio, after we trade Happ and a few others, bring him up now and give him 2 months and give him a shot to open the season in the rotation. The kid is killing it in the minors.
  24. we should probably expose him to the rule 5 next year. I can't imagine there would be any takers.
  25. SRF is a stud....7Ks 1BB 2 hits no runs through 6 today.
