he didn't deserve to lose. He pitched a good game, but the Jays approaches weren't god awful either. There were a lot of hard hit balls. The Jays had no luck
That was part of my point. He has a decent curve. His pitch selection is a bit puzzling this year. His fastball doesn't look the same this year. It's still early. I'm hoping things look better over his next few starts.
Sanchez missed almost an entire season. We've seen a handful of starts. I'm a bit concerned with the velocity. I'm not sure if he's just not throwing at max effort or if he's lost some velocity. I don't think he's used the curve enough either, but his change up has developed quite a bit.
I do find it a bit funny that he's had the most swing and misses of his career and people and people are ready to throw him in the pen now. Let's see if he can get the fastball going. It's only been a month. He could certainly turn things around and bring that walk rate down. It's too early to pull the plug.
Gibby hasn't played him everyday. Morales isn't playing most days because of Gibby, it's because of Atkins. Until they trade or DFA him, Morales is going to get to play. Gibby's just playing the cards he's been dealt.
