Ignoring acquisition costs, how would you guys rate these three potential outfield pickup purely based on your expected value: Aoki, Michael Saunders, Alex Rios? I'd say Saunders, Rios, Aoki. Pretty close though -

Let Melky walk, trade for Saunders from the M's, and sign Jed Lowrie and Russel Martin. I think that team makes the playoffs after a few minor tweaks. -

Nice. Third party reports were that he couldn't play CF at the major league level and his bat wouldn't play in a corner. Seems like the internal feelings were the same.

Finally news about his mysterious injury. I swear LaCava said it was something other than the shoulder in a year end interview. Elbow I think. Found it: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/farm-report-big-year-for-blue-jays-system/ He said it was a wrist issue and he'd be playing in instructs. Maybe he got the shoulder issue since then, or it was recently diagnosed?
