Let Melky walk, trade for Saunders from the M's, and sign Jed Lowrie and Russel Martin. I think that team makes the playoffs after a few minor tweaks. -

Yes. He left a game after diving back to first base, I believe. I don't know what the injury is though.

Nice. Third party reports were that he couldn't play CF at the major league level and his bat wouldn't play in a corner. Seems like the internal feelings were the same.

Finally news about his mysterious injury. I swear LaCava said it was something other than the shoulder in a year end interview. Elbow I think. Found it: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/farm-report-big-year-for-blue-jays-system/ He said it was a wrist issue and he'd be playing in instructs. Maybe he got the shoulder issue since then, or it was recently diagnosed?

I think you're underrating Reddick. He has a career .582 TS% and, despite being white, he's not a defensive liability. I don't get the point about Lebron James. Paul is the best backcourt player in the league and the topic at hand is best backcourts in the league. Is the difference between Paul and Lowry less or greater than the difference between Derozan and Reddick? I think that's a valid discussion.
