  1. Too bad. Hopefully he's never with the big league team.
  2. Good thing AA isn't likely involved in these negotiations with fellow Greek Angelos. Otherwise I'd expect a barge full of lambs and tzatziki on its way to Toronto, with Pompey, Norris and Hoffman on their way to Baltimore.
  3. Lefties will have positive horizontal movement on two-seamers, righties negative.
  4. Interestingly, Hutchison actually has more horizontal movement on his sinker than Stroman does. Link. But that doesn't mean it's a better pitch. Stroman throws it almost 2 mph faster and definitely has better command of it. Hutch's is much more of a 2-seamer - less vertical movement than Stroman's. His sinker got hit much harder than his 4-seamer did in 2014. I agree that if he could get some more traditional sinker movement on the pitch it would help Hutch a lot. His 2-seamers were only hit for groundballs 39% of the time.

I've never understood why people consider the turnovers category when talking about double/triple/quadruple doubles. Unless you're referring to free throws.
  6. The guy who wrote this article had probably never heard of Heaney, Semien, or Souza before they were traded.
  7. Decent article about just how good Stroman was after picking up his sinker. http://www.faketeams.com/2015/1/9/7522791/marcus-stroman-2015-breakout-player
  8. Like many others, I have been able to use mlb.tv for the past two years without being blacked out. However you should keep in mind that no guarantee that it won't be blocked in canada this season.
  9. Personally I'm still holding onto hope for Buck Coats.
  10. Wins can be added more efficiently at 2B than RP imo.

  12. Solid post. Personally I think Sunny is a tier below those shows and AD deserves a disclaimer about the 4th season. I'd probably add a Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant show. Probably Extras over The Office. Though the podcast and the XFM show they did with Karl Pilkington is my favourite thing they've ever done. I don't understand why the discussion in this thread would bother anyone. One thing I've always liked about this forum and the old one is that topics were allowed to go wherever they would. Some forums you see will lock threads if they tread slightly off topic.
  13. Randy Johnson Pedro Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Tim Raines Alan Trammell Curt Schilling Jeff Bagwell Mike Mussina Larry Walker
  14. I blitzed through Twin Peaks for around 10 days about a month ago. Before Laura Palmer's killer is revealed it's basically the best thing ever, then takes a steep decline. I'm excited for the return next year. Interesting that it will be 25 years since the original run, given the plot significance the time period of 25 years has. Still haven't seen Band of Brothers, probably go through that after I start Broadchurch on netflix.
  15. Corner Gas was pretty well written. It was a good show. Easily the best canadian sitcom.
  16. Great defence at third base is more fun to watch. As is Donaldson's better power and overall offence. Both will provide excellent value but Donaldson is who I'm more looking forward to seeing.
  17. Look at that bouncing girth as he rounds first base.
  18. Kevin Gray just sent me a text saying the Blue Jays won the bidding.
  19. Who knows? They're both shortstops that are likely to move to 2B in the majors. The offensive environments of their respective leagues are very different but Kang clearly has a lot more power. Toritani seems to have a solid approach/draws a lot of walks. Kang is probably the higher profile right now and he also has the more fun name, though Toritani is no slouch in that department.

I just want to see what the new jerseys will look like. Never been a fan of the current ones.
  21. The penalties have been increased since then. The max penalty now inhibits you from signing a player for more than $250k for the next two signing periods.
  22. Most importantly, Gibby and his drawl are much smarter than President Farrell.
  23. I'd rather they sign this Brian Wilson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3TRns_zssM
  24. That's some Wilner level of moronic tweeting.
