Fangraphs now has Statcast Outs Above Average (OAA) on the Advanced Fielding tab for each player.

After he got rained out friday I'm sure they wanted to hide him instead of facing the Yankees on Saturday.

Just because they've been cut from the big league camp doesn't mean they can't appear in Spring Training games. I think we see Moreno get a few at-bats at least.

Speaking of Leo Jimenez he featured in this recent article on how the Blue Jays are trying to prioritize swing decisions throughout the organization: https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/blue-jays-emphasizing-swing-decisions-in-bid-to-become-even-more-dangerous/

Espinal hit that single 106.2 mph. His career high at the majors is 104.2. The offseason 'roids are paying off.

It seems crazy that Correa would forgo $200M on that Orioles offer to sign this deal. Maybe he ends up making more but that is one hell of a bet. Maybe he just didn't want to play for the O's.

As much as I hate Morosi, he's pretty reliable when not talking about rumors
  8. 43211234
Yeah I noticed Fangraphs has a "Trending" articles section on the homepage now. So some old articles get pushed there with traffic I guess.

    FTJ getting the wrist surgery.

26-man roster and you can maybe stomach 3 catchers. I can't find anywhere if rosters were confirmed to be expanded to start this season. I know that was a topic of discussion. It makes it a lot easier to carry 3 catcher in that scenario.

So what's the endgame with Reese McGuire here? Try to sneak him through waivers again?
  12. 43211234
Love the deal! Secondary factor here: A couple 40-man spots have been cleared up. Relatively minor but not without some value.

Wow I had completely forgotten that Robinson Cano is still a Met. I wonder what he'll be like this season? Maybe the roided out 2020 will carry over.
  14. 43211234
He sat in a couple times on Sportsnet as a talking head when Siddal was off I think

Judge needs like 130 days of service time this season to be a free agent at the end of the year. So he'd miss out on free agency for another season under the assumptions that he doesn't get vaccinated and the New York mandates last all season.

    So they are venomous spiders?
  17. 43211234
The Phillies just gave him $6M for some reason
  18. 43211234
Most countries require non-citizens to be vaccinated in order to cross the border. Including the United States.

Imagine Manoah shows up to camp and he's sitting like 95 Probably not but it seems like every year there is one guy who finds some more velocity.
  20. 43211234
I think I joined the mlb.com forums in early '09

lol I trust the front office so I'm fine with this. A microcosm of modern front offices: - 6 career innings - ERA over 8 in those innings - throws 90% sliders - turning 29 this year Gets a major league contract.

You looking at the Adrian Beltre page? Hopefully some other numbers on that page come true for Manuel.

https://www.mlb.com/news/jordan-groshans-spring-training-interview Interview with Groshans. Sounds like he and his dad just want to slap the ball around!
  24. 43211234
    When did Espinal get jacked?
  25. 43211234
    Beltre looks like he's 5'6"
