Yeah the HOF thing was what I was thinking about when I called him weird.

You look at his 15 fWAR and say there's no shot he's a HOF but online I was seeing quite a bit of support for his candidacy after he hit # 40 yesterday.

Even on BR where framing isn't taken into account he's only at 29 WAR. I get that catchers are somewhat similar to relief pitchers in that you can't just directly compare their WAR totals to other positions to make a HOF argument. But I just don't see him being a Hall of Famer
