    I don't want to leave Kirk at AAA much longer beyond his return date if he's healthy. Steamer projects him as the second best hitter at C in all of baseball. And I think we all see that offensive potential. He's got to be one of the two catchers on the team. The defense is passable. Edit - By the way, look who is 12th on the list now.

    Why don't people want depth? I doubt any other major league position player on the team gets traded (except a catcher maybe) And there's no way you are trading a player and then bringing up Kevin Smith hoping he can help you win a playoff spot.

    Just in the past few weeks we've seen: -Joe Panik DHing -Joe Panik playing 1B -Joe Panik the only lefty bat available on the bench late in games There isn't a roster issue with Dickerson. The roster issue was only having Panik for those spots. Go back to a 4-man bench if need be.

    It was relatively even but it was still one of the worst games of the season. Go to the link you quoted: https://umpscorecards.com/site-data/games.html And click on the column header for "Total Run Impact" until it is sorted into a descending order. That game had the third most umpire sway of the season. It just happened that the horrible calls evened out for both teams.
