  1. Hoffman has been there for over a month already. Many of the prospects in the system have been there for weeks. There was a photo of those at the strength camp that I'm sure King thoroughly enjoyed. Back row left to right: Some coach probably, don't know, another coach maybe, not sure, Ryan Borucki, Chase De Jong, Jeff Hoffman, Dwight Smith Jr., Danny Jansen, Maxwell Pentecost, don't know, Chad Jenkin's brother, some coach. Front row: don't know, Roberto Osuna, don't know, Richard Urena, some coach, JD Davis I think (not DJ, JD)
  2. That picture of AA is at least a thousand gyros ago.
  3. ^Can we ban this guy. All he does is blatantly troll.
  4. It looks like Baltimore was 20th in the smartest cities category. Which only proves your point more.
  5. The Blue Jays got absolutely fleeced. It looked like a horrible trade at the time and it's only worse now.

Why the f*** are they running the moronic Lou iso with a 10 second differential between the game clock and shot clock at the end of the quarter. It results in Lou chucking up a stupid 3, causing a long rebound and 2 easy fast break points for Brooklyn. Has Lou even made an end of quarter shot since November (which this shot wasn't, given the differential)?
  7. They all look like they were born men. The biceps, facial structures and hands give them all away. Wasn't sure about the second one at first glance, but dat bicep. Anyways, I need to get back into shape. I'm not overweight at all, just don't get nearly enough activity as I should since I started university. I play beer league soccer in the summer. I need to get back into hockey.
  8. Cross Belisario off the list of potential Blue Jays then, if Morosi is reporting it. He's easily linked 75+ players to the Blue Jays and I don't know if he's ever been right.
  9. Well obviously you should never use one measure to complete on opinion on a player. While wRC+ will give you a much clearer and accurate representation of their true offensive worth, the triple slash line is still a great way to look at what type of player they are from a batting standpoint.
  10. Why wouldn't you? Sure, it's not adjusted for anything, but it gives you a great idea of the player's offensive composition.

It's embarrassing. Inferiority complex in full effect.
  12. The Anderson from this article is John Anderson, not Jacob.
  13. 2015 will be his 8th major league season.
  14. BTW, Pentecost is back throwing and batting: http://www.rocketsports-ent.com/hoffman-and-pentecost/ http://www.rocketsports-ent.com/osuna-and-pentecost-in-dunedin/ And Hoffman was said to be up to 89-90 in his bullpens, but that article was from 3 weeks ago: http://www.rocketsports-ent.com/sweatshirt-for-hoffman/ Hoffman has apparently been throwing bullpens every Monday and Friday. Back to throwing some breaking balls too.
  15. Hopefully his personality doesn't hold back his talent as much as it did with Bonds.
  16. Goins, Kawasaki and Travis are all preferable options to Izturis. He was the worst player in baseball in 2013 and will be two years older while also having missed virtually the entire 2014. They should just release Izturis and save the roster spot.
  17. Agreed. Baseball America has really fallen.
  18. It's top 100 prospect list season so I'll post this site that aggregates many prospect rankings (maybe too many, as some sites I've never even heard of). Not too many of the big guys have lists out yet, but they should be coming in the next week or two. http://fantasyrundown.com/2015-mlb-prospect-rankings/
  19. Nay's prospect status is buoyed by his raw power and the hope it will eventually translate into game power. The 34 doubles he hit in Lansing last year (only 3 HRs) gave a glimmer of hope in that respect. Hopefully he can breakout in 2015.
  20. I don't want to re-kindle the somewhat petty blue jays/orioles stuff going on in this thread but orioleshangout truly is from another world. Unanimous agreement on the man in white, Bautista PEDs, and they all strangely seem to think that the Blue Jays had offered Hoffman and the Orioles turned it down.
  21. RealAccountant is a troll. Just ignore him.
  22. Decent article on this subject. http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/drew-hutchison-2015-breakout-candidate/
  23. How the f*** does Olney have over a million twitter followers? - twice what Kenny Ken has. I couldn't agree more with njh in that this is feeling like the Dickey situation. Time to preemptively start an angry mob to hunt down Eddie Rogers. Sign below to sign up: Angry mob: 43211234
  24. Orioleshangout chimes in on the Hoffman rumour: http://forum.orioleshangout.com/forums/showthread.php/145599-Toronto-looking-for-New-President-to-be-Duquette?p=3723827#post3723827 What an exercise in degeneracy that entire website is.
  25. Given the somewhat formulaic nature of arbitration, that might be one reason the Blue Jays were unable or unwilling to reach a middle ground with Donaldson and avoid arbitration. Maybe playing hardball for that extra million saved on his 2014 salary turns into saving around 3 million in his fourth year arbitration salary, due to how arbitration numbers seem to rely heavily on the previous years' amount.
