  1. He'll just be hid away somewhere in the office in a few years like Burke. In a broom closet or something.
  2. I wanna see 3 trades. Janssen for Gregory Polanco Cecil for Kolton Wong Oliver + Davis for Nick Castellanos Or something like that. You can shuffle around which pitchers go where.
  3. Sometimes the skill needs a little help though. Bautista and EE?
  4. How can anyone not like Rasmus...
  5. I vote picnic with the Dogg. We're more likely to make the news that way. I can see the headlines now! "Man found with stuffed bodies in his attic, he says they're his friends"
  6. I know I watched more games in April then in May. It's just too frustrating watching them play, stranding runners all the time, JPA letting balls fly by him, starters blowing the game in the 1st inning. I was away for the weekend so I didn't see the Rays series. I had some time Monday night so I turned on the game only to see it was 14-4 in the bottom of the 7th, turned it right back off again. Started watching last night, watched them go up 8-3, then blow the game, I think they just like breaking hearts for the fun of it.
  7. I think he's underrated and we could get him on a good contract. He's still only 28. And his home at New York hasn't been kind to him. I think he could be had for a 4-5 year contract which would be his prime years.
  8. If the Blue Jays really loved us they would let Johnson walk, trade Boni, get rid of Melky, send JPA to AAA. Then sign Cano, McCann, and Hughes.
  9. How many of those teams actually re-tooled though? Or did they go into the next season with the exact same team? What the RedSox did last year is what I call re-tooling. (Dumping a bunch of talent and then getting different talent) And you forgot to add the RedSox to your list, didn't they end up in last place last year? And what are they doing this year...
  10. I would like to aquire any of those 3 or all of those 3 for relievers. I think we should resign Davis. He's a great 4th OF and good to have around for when injuries occur. He's on pace for 3 WAR if he were to play the whole year.
  11. This is what I thought. I was sure the prospect drafts were going to be non-snake. I wasn't sure about the waiver draft though. If it hasn't been decided about whether the waiver draft is snake or non-snake it could always go to a vote? If it does we should vote now before the end of the season so that way people don't vote based on the place they finished.
  12. At the beginning of the season I thought he had the ability to go 15/15 or even 20/20 which is good for a 2B. But now they are playing him in the OF and his power has seemed to abandon him and he's not running. So I gave up on him. But he does have the talent to become a really good player, and he was drafted 2nd overall just a few years ago. I assume so too.
  13. Boxy just made his team a little bit more handsome by prying Ackley away from me.
  14. Rizzo, Carlos Gomez, Puig, Kershaw would be my top 4. For my #5 I guess it would be one of these guys, Appel, E. Cabrera, Lawrie, ?
  15. Here's a read from Hayhurst and his first all-star weekend experience. I enjoyed it, if not for passing the time at work. No one likes Mondays. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/hayhurst-the-ugly-underbelly-of-a-minor-league-asg/
  16. Looks like Kovalchuk is already planning his NHL comeback.... He says he'd like to return after 3 years in Russia. Seems like something is missing from the story. Maybe someone is his family is sick and he wants to play in Russia to be close to them and home. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/report-ilya-kovalchuks-sister-says-he-wants-to-return-to-the-nhl-in-three-years/
  17. Our relief pitching is crazy out of control good. Used 6 pitchers today. Starter went 4 and then 4 pitchers witha era of less then 2 pitched, then jJanssen finished it up
  18. I don't want us to trade for Headley. I feel he's overrated because of his 1 awesome year. There's a good chance he gives you just average production for the remainder of his contract. I wouldn't include Osuna or Sanchez or Gose in a deal for him.
  19. Would have been cheaper to lock him up long term last off-season.
  20. It won't if he goes all Beede on us. But it will if I hold onto him and waste a spot on him and then he disappears.
  21. Looks like one of my prospects I drafted in the june draft will be going to college. Phil Bickford...
  22. For all the Bonifacio haters! http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/wilner-bonifacio-not-worth-giving-up-on/ "One would think that lessons would have been learned about overreacting to poor performances by players like Edwin Encarnacion, Adam Lind and Brett Cecil — all of whom have been the target of Jays fans’ wrath at several points over the last few seasons. There’s a lot more in Bonifacio than what we’ve seen — we saw some of it Wednesday night in Cleveland — and that’s why he’s still here."
