  1. I think only Machado and Arenado has more DRS then Lawrie.
  2. I know this isn't a Baseball Prospectus article but thought this would be a good place as any to put it. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-lawrie-among-mlbs-elite-defenders-at-third/ Lawrie is rated 3rd in DRS for the 2012 and 2013 season. Machado and Arenado are first and second. And the myth that Lawrie gets a boost from playing a short right field during a shift is false, BIS does not give individuals credit for plays that involve a defensive shift.
  3. He's only hated if he plays on the other team. He plays to win, not for twitter friends.
  4. Interest ed in any of mine for a 3rd?
  5. Well send me an email. You never know.
  6. Say Kershaw was available what offers would there be?
  7. Since nicasio returned from injury on july 12 he's made 9 starts. Over those he has a 5W 3.38era, 7.4 k/9, 8.1h/9, .704ops and that includes the one start he got rock in atlanta.
  8. I never had estrada, dont want him either. I do have a little interest in blackburn though.
  9. Have a look at my roster and let me know who you would consider useable..
  10. I didn't have him as an ace. We won't have an ace unless dicky or morrow kicks it up a notch. But halladay would be a solid starter. And instead of Hughes maybe someone else.
  11. Well then YOU fix the team!
  12. I thought he was just bad at home, but ya, its all AlEast. Except in TB.
  13. The Cheap Way: Sign Phil Hughes Sign Jose Molina Sign Suk-min Yoon Trade for Jemile Weeks Pick up Lind's option Let Davis walk Let Johnson walk The Right Way: Resign Josh Johnson for a couple years Sign Phil Hughes Sign Roy Halladay *if you can get the 3 starters for a total 30 mil/yr* Resign Davis Buy-out Lind Sign Kendrys Morales Sign Jhonny Peralta(If he will/can play 2nd) Sign A.J. Pierzynski (assuming McCann is out of reach) Reyes SS Lawrie 3B EE 1B Bautista RF Morales DH Rasmus CF Pierzynski C Melky LF Peralta 2B Dickey Morrow Hughes Buehrle Halladay Johnson We need the 6th because atleast 1 will be injured for most of the year. Minors depth(Drabek, Hutchison, Nolin, Stroman) will be used when starters #2 and #3 go down. We won't have an ace, but we should have 5 solid starters out of those 6.
  14. ftfy But really... The sad thing is, Player X was a Blue Jay for a few years. And then was traded for *surprise surprise* a relief pitcher.
  15. His numbers would have been even better if he wasn't in Seattle for 5 years of his prime.
  16. Looking back to the original draft, I have 13 out of 25 that have survived on my roster. That's pretty near a 50% turnover rate. I'd only have 11 if you discard the two players(Wallace and McGowan) I dropped and then eventually picked back up months later. That seems like a high turnover rate. Or is that normal?
  17. That's a nice bunch of young guns to build on.
  18. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/korean-millionaire-knuckleballer-joins-us-team/ Lets get this guy! What do we have to lose.
  19. I would just like to say I was one of the people against the trade. I even voted in the poll that it was a bad deal. Boni has talent, he just needs to decide to use it.
  20. I'd trade starters Andre Rienzo, Juan Nicasio, or Jeff Lockefor a draft pick. Also, Ernesto Frieri is back as the Angels closer after striking out the side and earning the save over the weekend. I'd also trade him for a draft pick. Send me a PM or an email!
