How far can this thread go? It's already passed a ton of the high post GDTs and now sits 9th overall in replies. Only another 120 replies until it pasts the highest GDT and the Draft Day thread to claim 5th overall. It'll need about 550 more to pass the DDL thread for 4th place. And then to the top 3 there is a huge gap. How did a thread on an organizational player make it so far?

When is the waiver draft? In the middleof spring training?

Boxy got the shaft, No #1 pick in any.. I on the other hand can live with how it played out. Moved down 1 for the prospect draft, but moved up 2 for the waiver.

I think it's close. TheRealMin has the better hitting because of a better lineup. But I think Dinger has the better starting and pitchers. If I had to face one or the other I'd rather face Dinger, he's .500 in his last 6 match-ups. TheRealMin is on an 11 game win streak. Edit: Also, when are we allowed to start trading again?

I wouldn't mind getting Infante, that is my wish. I would also settle for Ellis on a 1 year deal though. Then next year we could sign a Asdrubal Cabrera, J.J. Hardy, Hanley Ramirez, or Jed Lowrie. And move Reyes or one of them to 2B.

I'm guessing there's no loser playoff? My team can't even lose right, they entered last week in 19th, managed to bring themselves up to 18th. The only thing I have positive right now is that I have 4 out of the top 5 Season(avg) stat pitchers.

I think Melky and Bautista should take turns at DH next year if Gose is with us.

He is a name. Just not huge. He was traded for Roy Oswalt and had Eras in the 2~ range in previous years. It's more about the number of players involved in the trade. You need to spend money to make money. Those are all big names that attracted more fans and views and it put the Bluejays in the spot light, did it not? What team was the most talked about last off-season... Rogers Corporation got a s*** ton of press and coverage by acquiring those players. It doesn't happen with cheaper lesser known players.

Ya, I'm thinking a dynasty. With a small farm system. Would have to iron out all the details once we get enough interested.

There has been interest expressed in a Yahoo hockey keeper league. I thought I'd start this thread to get an actual number and to see if we would have enough to get a league up and running. This is my conspiracy theory for the night. AA was taken over by Rogers Corporation, and is now their puppet. Rogers Corporation doesn't care about what is best for the team. They only care about making money and building the brand. Here is some of my proof. I think it started back last years trade deadline. When he traded for JA Happ. AA was told he had to make a deal for a name, to make a deal with a ton of players, just to make the headlines. Especially since they weren't doing all that great on the season. Just think of how much the Toronto Bluejays where in the news when they made their (9?) player trade. Next came the Marlins deal.. Oh the names we picked up in that deal. Has there ever been so many names acquired by one team in one deal. A deal that'll be talked about for years and years, but not just us but by all baseball fans... Then there was the Dickey. What would be the best way to end the off season? Trade for an award winner of course. We needed a pitcher, may as well get last years CY Young award winner. At any means necessary, even if it would take our top 2 prospects. AA's hands were tied. And the 4th reason is... No GM would be insane enough to employ JP Arenciba as a starting catcher. Rogers Corporation needs JPA around to bring in all the teenage girls. And then they sell a phone to them while they're at it.
