  1. I know this may be picking a random point in time.. But after Norris' start that he gave up 6ER in 1.1 innings back on May 8th he's been good since then. He's started 15 games, 59.2 innings, 12 K/9, 2.11 ERA.
  2. He does play for the Rays, and they know how to get the best out of people, I think we can call it a deal.
  3. Maybe he just smeared the cream on his toast in the morning.
  4. I would need a pick to come back with him.
  5. Maybe you wanna sell him off while he still has a little value?
  6. The Yankees are just scared of our lineup, they want a little bit more time to mentally prepare themselves.
  7. Ya, but.. but.. JPA hit 2 homeruns in his first game, TDA hasn't hit even 1 yet.
  8. I think Tercet was a huge fan of him..?
  9. I guess Reyes got the memo about Tank Nation? Who would have thought we'd have a batting order anytime this year of: DeRosa, Davis, EE, Lind, Lawrie, Thole, Pillar, Gose, Kawasaki.
  10. Just a little over a week left before the trade deadline. Anyone looking for a 3rd Baseman? I have a few that would anchor a good team and help in the playoffs. They range from dirt cheap to an ass raping price. Brett Lawrie would be the most expensive, and chances are you'd have to overpay to get him. But some more affordable pieces are possiable Batting Champ - Chris Johnson, and Alex Rodriguez who is hitting like his old self. The cheapest options would be Brett Wallace, 10HR in 45Gms and Matt Tuiasosopo, .900 OPS, both of who could fill in and not hurt you.
  11. The Nationals aren't heading for a rebuild....
  12. Are you saying this because of his DUI? Or are there other examples or have other players and coaches said things? I'm starting to get quite a collection of those types... Puig, A-Rod, Lawrie, PED Cabrera, Former crackhead Hamilton.
  13. My Farm: Graduated: Yasiel Puig - I'll keep him in my minors until next year. Jackie Bradley Jr. - Only prospect that was drafted as a prospect that is on my Major league roster. Matt Davidson - Didn't even realise this guy was up in the majors until now, must be doing something right, 22 Years old. On the Farm: Joey Gallo - Still mashing, still K'ing, Would like him to bring up his average. Mason Williams - Was hitting good, But has been in a bad slump for almost a month now. Mark Appel - In class A, pitching well for his first taste of the pros. Rafael de Paula - Dominated A earlier this year, Stumbled at A+ his first couple starts but is coming around. Rafael Montero - Was the starter for the Futures game. He's been good-verygood, even in the PCL. Phil Bickford - This **** is going to college Delino DeShields - Hitting over .300 with an OBP of almost .400. Fastest guy not named Hamilton. Matt Purke - Dominated A-ball, Sucking in +A-ball. Only guy I don't care a whole lot for on my farm. James Paxton - Cut down on his walks this year and working in the PCL. Couple 10+K games. Jorge Soler - Gonna be the next Cuban Star, currently injured. Traded away: C Yelich, A Heaney, T Glasnow, AJ Cole, R Erlin
  14. What...? Has any of our catchers ever went to Boston. ..
  15. Cecil just wanted to give Pillar the chance to hit a walk off homer...
  16. I voted bad trade.. Boni is sucking ass this year, but he's been good in the past and is still in his prime. I just feel we could have got more for him then a few hundred thousand.
  17. Is there still a chance we can sign this guy? Looks like his deal with the Phillies might fall through. Should be able to get him for cheaper.
  18. I'm kicking myself for selling off Samarjiza, Weaver, and Iwakuma back then. May have been able to get more for them now. From those 3 I turned them into: Carlos Gomez, Tyler Skaggs, Brett Lawrie, and the 8th Overall pick. Makes me wonder what I could have gotten for them now.
  19. Please post this article for them.. http://www.macleans.ca/canada/national/article.jsp?content=20080625_50113_50113&page=1 This is my favourite quote from it... "Believe it or not, we now have more wealth than Americans, even though we work shorter hours. We drink more often, but we live longer and have fewer diseases. We have more sex, more sex partners and we're more adventurous in bed, but we have fewer teen pregnancies and fewer sexually transmitted diseases. We spend more time with family and friends, and more time exploring the world. Even in crime we come out ahead: we're just as prone to break the law, but when we do it, we don't get shot. Most of the time, we don't even go to jail. The data shows that it's the Canadians who are living it up, while Americans toil away, working longer hours to pay their mounting bills." Also... "As of 2005, the median family in Canada was worth US$122,600, according to Statistics Canada, while the U.S. Federal Reserve pegged the median American family at US$93,100 in 2004." What I got from this article was that the US f***ing sucks ass.
  20. I've only played on Yahoo before. And I'd rather keep the current leagues on there. But I'd be up for joining another league on ESPN maybe or somewhere else just to try it out.
  21. Prospect blockbuster just went down. Acquired myself another Cuban to go along with Puig so he wouldn't be lonely..
  22. Do these stats take into account what lines the players are playing against?
