  1. Anyone planning to see the Jays play in Minny this June? Thinking of going down to Target Field for that weekend series. Never been.
  2. Would have Bo - Vladdy and Santander penciled into the No. 2-3-4 spots. The rest of the lineup is in the air. Could see some guys moving up/down based on performance. For leadoff, okay with Wagner against RHP and Springer against LHP. Like Term said, Springer better hit early on. If he isn't being productive, gotta try Roden or Barger.
  3. Yeah for $20 why not. Put myself down on the list.
  4. They've shown some images of what the ballpark would look like. Looks really cool! They likely keep the same jersey colours as the original A's. https://ballparkexperience.athletics.com
  5. Yeah especially when teams like the Dodgers or Yankees come to town. Plus you know they're gonna spend money to bring in top FA's. I might try it for fun and see what they offer later on. If I could get decent two upper level seats for around $5K USD, would consider it. Plus a good excuse to do some weekend trips down to Vegas to watch some baseball haha.
  6. $20 USD to be eligible for Athletics season tickets when they move to Vegas in 2028 haha. Ballpark supposed to hold 33K fans. Think it's a good opportunity.

Exactly. Pretty much deja vu! Agreed 100%.

Yeah the more I think about it, Barnes is more of a No. 2 guy than a franchise type of player. Barrett is just a volume shooter with no defense. Don't want him leading a team as the No. 1 guy. Immanuel Quickley is overpaid for what he offers. As much as I love Gradey Dick, think he would be better as a 6th man and 3-pt shooter off the bench. As a starter, his 14PPG and no contributions with boards/assists won't fly.

Raps should be a playoff team next year if fully healthy. Add some defensive-minded players this offseason and they should be good!
  10. You should have kept him in the LOD
  11. Also, imagine the equivalent if the Jays lost Gausman all year and if Bowden Francis was shut down for 6 weeks. Jays would be in way worse shape. Schmidt is pretty decent. Stroman was nice depth to have haha. Yankees have some decent young arms like Warren, and Beeter as well waiting in the wings. Bullpen wise, Devin Williams is probably the top closer in all of baseball when healthy. Weaver looked really good out of the pen last season and was elite. Cousins is really good. Leiter struck out 86 guys in 50 something innings last season. He's no pushover. Ian Hamilton when healthy can be sneaky good as well. I wouldn't write off the Yankees that easily as BTS is. They're definitely more vulnerable now, but still a contender in the AL East. Makes for the division being more open now which is nice.

Would love to hear your opinions on the Leafs haha.
  13. I still have the Yankees ahead of the Jays this season. It's still a decent rotation and if the bullpen is "super thin" after Williams and Weaver, I wonder what you think of the Blue Jays bullpen after Hoffman and Garcia haha. I wouldn't write off the Yankees just yet. They're more vulnerable now, but still are a contender. Sure the Yankees aren't going to be a powerhouse like the Dodgers, but I'm sure they get lucky with a dead-cat bounce from either Goldy or DJ LeMahieu and one of their young players has a breakout lol.
  14. Clement having an awesome spring! Hopefully he keeps that momentum going into the regular season. Would be nice to see Wagner and/or Roden crack the starting lineup come Opening Day.
  15. Would definitely be a good challenge trade if Boston could lock up Vladdy to an extension. Devers has a higher floor. You know you're going to get around 4 WAR from him each season and he's locked up for $310M which is pretty decent. Vladdy on the other hand has much higher upside, but we've seen Vladdy also with a lower floor where he put up a 1.3 WAR season in 2023. Would entertain the idea especially if the Jays can't lock up Vladdy and are just going to let him walk away for nothing. But yeah worried Vladdy goes all Manny Ramirez in Boston for the next decade haha.
  16. Soto is also 26-years-old whereas Ohtani was 30. But yeah IMO, would rather pay Ohtani more than Soto from a baseball, fan and business perspective.
  17. Jays would actually be better re-signing Bo for $200-250M and get 3-4 WAR seasons out of him rather than giving Vladdy $500M.
  18. He was the most annoying sports personality in the history of sports. The guy was awful.
  19. Montreal would need a new ballpark located downtown or by the waterfront. Olympic Stadium is garbage and in the middle of nowhere. Would prefer seeing a team out in Vancouver, but probably won't happen with the Mariners too close. As well, I see MLB preferring US cities over Montreal. Baseball didn't work out in Montreal unfortunately so don't see why Montreal would be considered again for a MLB team. Cities like Nashville or Portland or Charlotte or Salt Lake City would be way more attractive options. Additionally, I think MLB would put a team in Mexico City or Punta Cuna or Puerto Rico before they bring a team back to Canada.
  20. Hopefully Y-Rod emerges as a top reliever in the pen. I really think he can be a valuable arm who gives the Jays around 70-80 innings with 100+ K's and a 2 WAR season. Even his numbers/splits from Cuba show he has been more effective coming out of the pen, than in the rotation.

Yeah I don't blame you. Just saw yesterday Barnes, Barrett and Quickley were out. Plus the remaining opponents suck anyways lol. Raptors have one of the easiest schedules remaining, so it's going to be tough to tank haha. But yeah if you want your kid to experience an NBA game, probably a good time to go in terms of ticket prices. Also, the experience more than anything at Raptors games is fun. I'm sure they won't bench all their starters for the remaining home games coming up. Just probably will limit their minutes.

Only 5 home games left after tonight. Games are dynamic pricing, so varies depending on matchup and date. These are the remaining games. Sun March 23rd - vs. San Antonio Fri March 28th - vs. Charlotte Thu April 3rd vs. Portland Fri April 4th vs. Detroit Wed April 9th vs. Charlotte (sold) Could do $120 per pair to either the San Antonio or Portland game. The Friday games against Charlotte or Detroit, could do $150 per pair.
  23. Jays win 88 games. They grab one of the wild card spots. Scherzer wins the AL Cy Young Vladdy hits 60 HR's Hoffman saves 40 games Santander doesn't live up to the hype: hits under 30 HR's and bats .220 Bo wins the batting title, and has a 30/30 season. Yariel Rodriguez posts a 2 WAR season out of the pen. Bowden Francis only makes 20 starts and has an ERA above 4. Varsho has a "Brent Rooker" type breakout.
