  1. Reynaldo Lopez also just landed on the IL.
  2. Looks like Jarred Kelenic will be playing everyday, even after Acuna returns.
  3. Define "garbage" though? Are we talking about White Sox/Rockies/Marlins level? Or 75-80 win team?
  4. I'm not driving down just for a Paul Skenes bobblehead lol.
  5. Speaking of bobbleheads, was thinking of driving down to Pittsburgh over the Easter weekend since they're in town and on the Saturday it's Paul Skenes bobblehead day haha.
  6. Buy the bobblehead from someone off Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji after. Your time is worth way more than waiting in line for 3 hours for a small bobblehead doll. Pay someone the $60 to do it for you haha.
  7. Yeah I don't expect the Brewers to make the Postseason this season. Don't think they're an awful team however. Peralta is still very good at the top of the rotation, and Woodruff should be back in May. Quintana should be ready mid-April as well. Not a huge fan of Cortes, but he should be fine pitching in the NL as a No. 4/5 starter after being in the AL East. They have been getting lit up though geez haha, but yeah never easy to start the season in Yankee Stadium.
  8. Braves play the Dodgers next series. After starting the season 0-4, going into LA will be tough.
  9. Boneheaded decision.
  10. I don't like the Brewers at all this season, but yeah it's still early. If the Jays were in the same boat, sure you wouldn't be saying their garbage.
  11. There is nothing around the ballpark other than apartments and stores. It's not like you can go out to bars before the game or after the game right outside of Yankee Stadium. It's not like Landsdowne Street in Boston or the Battery in Atlanta etc. Yankee Stadium is accessible via public transit. So is Citi Field in Queens. There's nothing even around Citi Field in terms of bars/restaurants/nightlife. You just get off at the subway or commuter train stop and then walk to the ballpark.
  12. I felt this exact way in 2021, 2022 and 2023. During the prime windows of contention, can't mess around with a roster that is only 80-90% there. If there is an area of weakness, should be addressed rather than just keeping the status quo.
  13. Yeah true haha. Nothing is really around Yankee Stadium. No sports bars, restaurants, nightlife etc. Pretty much everyone crowds the subways after the game and get out of there haha. Some places its ridiculous. I don't understand why people still keep paying those prices. I remember in 2015, Yankee Stadium was extremely expensive for beer like almost $18 USD. Sure it's more now haha. Some ballparks still have decent prices. Like a beer should be around $10-12 at most. Or heck, a can should even be under $10.
  14. Yeah better to address issues earlier rather than later. Sign Robertson for $7-8M and Lynn for around $4-5.
  15. Gotta hope they manage the pen well over this stretch. Can't overwork guys and can't use up your top BP arms in blowouts.
  16. Season is over 😅
  17. Yeah and with Turnbull, you can likely move him between the rotation and pen at anytime with no issues.
  18. Oh damn a bobblehead giveaway on a Monday night? That's a weird one haha.
  19. Talk about awful starts: Max Muncy is 1 for 18 to start the season. Wilson Contreras is 0 for 14 thus far!
  20. Plus the ballpark is out in the middle of nowhere. It's still like a 40 min subway ride from Central Station. Also, the concessions are crazy expensive. Probably the worst MLB ballpark in terms of prices.
  21. Same with Jazz haha
  22. Don't think you'll ever see a better middle-of-the-order of Man-Ram & Ortiz.
  23. First impression of Gimenez has been awesome! Man if he returns to being a 5 to 6 WAR player again, that would be amazing!
  24. Both Spencer Turnbull and Lance Lynn remain unsigned which is a weird one. Signing Jake Junis would have been nice for $4.5M. Seems like he's content with being a long man/spot starter. Would have been a nice depth arm to have. I would callup Bloss and keep Y-Rod in the pen, because the Jays could really use the Y-Rod we saw today in the 7th/8th innings of a tight game. Maybe we see Yesavage at some point as well. Try to move him along a bit more quicker, so he can be a potential callup in July/August maybe.
