  1. He has a career 105 wRC+ against lefties. Nothing special obviously. Sierra is only project for like 84 wRC+ anyways.
  2. Yeah, I'd be interested to know. I'm not campaigning for the Jays to go out and sign Frenchy lol though I just quickly looked at his career splits and he has a career .800 OPS against lefties.
  3. I actually wouldn't mind Frenchy on the bench and platoon bat with Lind. His slash line against lefties for his career isn't bad .285/.335/.465 I'd prefer Frenchy over Sierra that's for sure. But yeah, not that crazy about him. Would have rather had Ruggiano - missed opportunity.
  4. I'm sure he'll sign on somewhere to play in Triple A. But yes, his days of being an everyday player at the MLB level are over, and you could have argued that they were over a couple of years ago.
  5. It will be interesting to see if the Rays release Erik Bedard if he doesn't make the big club. If I were AA, I'd be all over Bedard as the No. 5 starter instead of someone like Happ or Rogers. At least when healthy, Bedard can be effective and it's not like there's anything to lose by giving him a chance.
  6. I'll try and wake up to watch the game early. Starbucks opens at 5 AM, so I could grab a coffee afterwards and then go back to sleep at 7 am when the game is over.
  7. That's a lot of guaranteed money to turn down that early in someone's career. I mean, he'll earn 500K in his PreArb years and then ARB years who knows depending on he performs. One year of free agency would be bought. If I were Springer, I'd counter with $30 million, and he could still land a huge contract afterwards he becomes a FA if he's as good as advertised. $30 M sets him up for life guaranteed this early without playing a MLB game, and his next big FA contract will be icing on the cake.
  8. In other words, it could get pretty bad in a hurry if one of those dominoes fall through.
  9. I was never a believer in Vance Worley.
  10. A mess? I'd rather have a rotation of those 5 then what the Jays are putting out there this season lol.
  11. Probably could have got a better return on Ellsbury if you shopped him around the league.
  12. I got shivers from watching it. Just scary. I hope he's doing alright and my thoughts and prayers are with him.
  13. I'll definitely have to pick up this book on Amazon.
  14. I sold him my ticket so he is taking my place at the game. You guys don't mind right?
  15. Grant is coming down from North Bay.
  16. I will buy 2 mate.
  17. Andrus is so overrated in fantasy baseball. I actually liked Spanky's side of that deal better - unfortunately he got hurt.
  18. Yeah all those BP acquisitions by JPR in the 2003/2004 offseason turned out to be awful. Lightenberg, Adams, De Los Santos. Speier was really the only good BP arm acquired that offseason.
  19. http://nypost.com/2013/09/22/former-yanks-pitcher-accused-of-sticking-ex-with-credit-card-debt/
  20. Can't forget Tanyon Sturtze as well. Pretty awful.
  21. Cliff Politte was awful as well that season. Trevor Miller was a pleasant surprise and Aqualino Lopez ended up being the teams closer at the end though he completely exploded in 2004 and then never was heard from again.
  22. Yeah that was basically a huge bite in the ass. He sucked while he was here, misses a whole year and then is one of the best pitchers in baseball for the next 4-5 years.
  23. That was a jerk move from Ted Lilly, though other from that incidence I really liked him as a pitcher. He was a great pickup by JPR and he went on to have a very good career, especially in the NL with the Cubs and Dodgers.
