  1. Meh, Duffy hasn't been anything special as a starter and its not like he's that young. As for Phil Hughes and Kyle Lohse, I think my asking price is more than fair.
  2. Danny Duffy just got a early second round pick, and his numbers are quite mediocre.
  3. Nick Tepesch is available for a 2nd round pick if anyone is looking for young starting pitching that could help their MLB roster.
  4. Where do we make our prospect cuts? And we have a 12-man farm correct? I get all the leagues I'm in mixed up haha just want to make sure.
  5. I think you have to keep Stroman. There is no point in trading him for a expensive 1.5 year rental like Shark. Also, I don't think you can trade Juan Francisco. See if he could continue hitting the way he has and maybe you got something on your hands. Another solid LHB who can crush RHP. Rasmus I think you can move - just bad timing since he's a FA so you're unlikely to get much unless you take on another expiring contract or the equivalent of the comp pick.
  6. I'm hoping Grant Green gets more playing time with the Angels - he's been solid. Love the fact that he holds eligibility at 2B and OF.
  7. Post-hype player. He's been alright - not getting any HR's, RBI's or SB's however. His slash line of .303/.333/.449 is decent, though he needs to steal more bases to be valuable. Also, the guy is probably the most fragile player I've ever seen. Seems like he gets injured almost all the time.
  8. You should drop Gose, he wasn't part of the trade. Violation on your part. lol jks I like Cain to an extent, but I don't think I'll be making the playoffs anyway unless a miracle happens.
  9. Yeah crazy an unimportant BP piece was moved for the 39th pick. Abusrd. Time to sell off Todd Redmond for a comp pick
  10. I've never experienced having a team with this many players banged up or on the DL. It's absurd. Just when I thought I was able to start fielding a full outfield after acquiring Brown, I lose Myers to the DL and Maybin left yesterday's game in the 2nd, ugh. And Tex's wrist is acting up again. This year has been a total disaster. Even Brown is sitting today because Niese is pitching. Likely won't be starting an outfield today lol
  11. I booked a trip to Vegas the week after the Hurl gets back so we need to delay the draft by an extra week.
  12. Joe Carter's home run in 93. He was an all-time Blue Jay great - probably the best player in club history because of that hit.
  13. Yeah can get seats in the premium dugout area for $45-50ish.
  14. I could see this happening. False hope relying on Morrow to pitch like a No. 2 starter for the like the millionth time!
  15. Spanky still manages so that is not a valid excuse. And his team is in contention
  16. Personally, I don't have a problem with the date being pushed back. Couldn't care. Just hope this isn't an issue every time with waiver drafts, June drafts, trade deadlines, etc. In my 30 team salary league, we had free agency in January. I was in Australia the entire month and when I had time and access, I would check and make bids. I wasn't able to give my full attention to it unfortunately but oh well.
  17. Not a valid reason to change the date. What happens if I go to the cottage when the draft takes place and have no internet connection? Can we push the date back?
  18. I'm heading to Europe in August - can we get the trade deadline pushed back? (just joking...don't need it pushed back but see the problem?). I'm not being an ass or anything, though I don't think it should change just because Kev is going to Vegas. I was up in Muskoka last year during the draft and had no internet connection whatsoever. We shouldn't change important dates based on somebody's personal schedule. I don't care if we change the date, though then this can happen every time. If we are voting on the date, it's something that should be permanent moving forward. Also, usually when we vote on something, the change takes place the following year.
  19. Just picked up Anthony Gose to help my outfield. Does awesome range and defense count towards anything?
  20. Yeah should have rephrased my statement - the Bills have not been a success here. Most of the Canadian NFL fans don't really have one team they follow - it's really spread out. You'll have bandwagon fans hopping on the Seahawks bandwagon, Patriots fans, Broncos fans, Giants fans, 49ers fans etc. There really isn't a team loyalty. Can an NFL team thrive here? Possibly. First a new NFL stadium would need to be built - they can't play at the Rogers Centre (lets be realistic). A new stadium likely needs to be build outside of the city like in Vaughn or Mississauga. Also, I'm sure it will be a huge fad in the first year, but if the team doesn't have success for an extended period of time, you're not going to get 80K at each game. Also, like said before even by NFL people, if an NFL team moves to Toronto, they need to make sure that they can co-exist with the CFL. They can co-exhist.
  21. I'm sure if Halifax had a team back when you were on the East Coast, you would be a die hard lol jks. To each's own. I'll watch both the NFL and CFL. I enjoy the CFL, it's entertaining to watch. I won't go out of my way to make it to every Argo game, but I'll go once or twice on a nice night in the summer and go to their playoff games in November. I went to see the Argos play in Montreal last summer, which was a great atmosphere. I agree games at the Rogers Centre suck - far way from the field and not the best atmosphere to watch a game in. I'd love to experience watching a game in Saskatchewan one summer - I heard going to a game there is awesome. Same with some other places in Western Canada.
