  1. Not a valid reason to change the date. What happens if I go to the cottage when the draft takes place and have no internet connection? Can we push the date back?
  2. I'm heading to Europe in August - can we get the trade deadline pushed back? (just joking...don't need it pushed back but see the problem?). I'm not being an ass or anything, though I don't think it should change just because Kev is going to Vegas. I was up in Muskoka last year during the draft and had no internet connection whatsoever. We shouldn't change important dates based on somebody's personal schedule. I don't care if we change the date, though then this can happen every time. If we are voting on the date, it's something that should be permanent moving forward. Also, usually when we vote on something, the change takes place the following year.
  3. Just picked up Anthony Gose to help my outfield. Does awesome range and defense count towards anything?
  4. Yeah should have rephrased my statement - the Bills have not been a success here. Most of the Canadian NFL fans don't really have one team they follow - it's really spread out. You'll have bandwagon fans hopping on the Seahawks bandwagon, Patriots fans, Broncos fans, Giants fans, 49ers fans etc. There really isn't a team loyalty. Can an NFL team thrive here? Possibly. First a new NFL stadium would need to be built - they can't play at the Rogers Centre (lets be realistic). A new stadium likely needs to be build outside of the city like in Vaughn or Mississauga. Also, I'm sure it will be a huge fad in the first year, but if the team doesn't have success for an extended period of time, you're not going to get 80K at each game. Also, like said before even by NFL people, if an NFL team moves to Toronto, they need to make sure that they can co-exist with the CFL. They can co-exhist.
  5. I'm sure if Halifax had a team back when you were on the East Coast, you would be a die hard lol jks. To each's own. I'll watch both the NFL and CFL. I enjoy the CFL, it's entertaining to watch. I won't go out of my way to make it to every Argo game, but I'll go once or twice on a nice night in the summer and go to their playoff games in November. I went to see the Argos play in Montreal last summer, which was a great atmosphere. I agree games at the Rogers Centre suck - far way from the field and not the best atmosphere to watch a game in. I'd love to experience watching a game in Saskatchewan one summer - I heard going to a game there is awesome. Same with some other places in Western Canada.
  6. Butler and Hosmer are killing me in my 30-team dynasty salary league. Just awful. The whole Royals lineup like Nick said hasn't hit for any power whatsoever.
  7. McCowan asked Beeston on PTS if the grass could be installed quicker if the Argos found a new home sooner and Beeston still said 2018 was the earliest they could get grass installed, regardless of the Argos situation.
  8. An NFL team wouldn't thrive in Toronto. The Bills have been a huge disappointment.
  9. They were the last Toronto team to win a championship and they have actually played meaningful games at the Rogers Centre over the past two decades, something the Jays have not. I'm really sick of the CFL bashing on here. I don't mind the CFL, it's actually quite entertaining to watch and there is some good talent in the league. Also, CFL games are broadcasted in the U.S. on ESPN3 and it does draw a lot of viewers.
  10. Just watching CJ close out games is so much more comforting than watching Santos. It goes to show you that xFIP isn't the be-all and end-all stat for pitchers. You always have to take other things into factor.
  11. That was probably Grant. Heard he was visiting from North Bay.
  12. I think in my first draft I took the following Travis d'Arnaud Jonathan Singleton Nolan Arenado Matt Davidson James Paxton Daniel Corcino Then in the second draft took guys like Devin Williams, Robbie Ray, Cesar Puello, Micah Johnson (not Michal Johnson), Tyler Pike, Dilson Herrera. Didn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick I believe. Traded Singleton in a deal for Piscotty. Also traded Puello, Davidson, Paxton in other deals. Arenado has obviously been my best pick in the third round of the first draft.
  13. My DL lineup: Mike Napoli Carlos Beltran Shane Victorino Jurickson Profar Avsail Garcia Nolan Arenado
  14. Brandon Morrow can be the best pitcher on the Jays staff.
  15. If EE landed that return and even some posters said that wasn't enough, I wonder what Tulo should get...let the sweepstakes begin
  16. I'm not handling it well. Everyone has said I've been acting differently lately I've made bad trades before. I traded Cespedes in his rookie year for Bud Norris and a 2nd round pick in the FC league. Luckily I flipped Norris for Zobrist like two weeks later. I'm sure I've made some bad trades in this league that I regret.
  17. We'll just stick to the booze then I'm still holding a grudge for ripping me off on that Beltran/V-Mart swap. I'm rooting against your team in the DDL.
  18. It will be interesting to square off against your team soon, can't wait for that matchup! Should be real fun! There are some really good teams even outside the top 4. Rick Honeycutt has had a really good year, and the Hurl, Dabyner, the Snakes and Tigers Pride can be tough as well.
  19. You at the bottom of the cellar in the FC has been getting old
  20. It's taken you forever to rebuild in the FC league. The oxy isn't working.
  21. Here's an entire complication of those commercials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CigWnsQc-MA That one eating the peanuts is AA haha
