  1. Yeah there were no 500 level tickets released, only 100 level and some 200 level, which were $500 + each and have doubled from the ALDS. It's a lot of money and yeah quite expensive. Even if you had season tickets, the average middle-class person likely can't afford to be dropping $1K + to attend an ALCS game. I'm shocked that there was an entire section essentially along the right field line with blue seats available. Like were the Jays holding those seats from the public during the online sale to create more demand for resellers after? Fishy to see that many available all at once. Ticketmaster is a bit sketch will just say that. I believe the Blue Jays set their Postseason prices. We know this front office has already increased regular season ticket prices over the last couple of years, so they definitely are going to take advantage for the Postseason, knowing people will pay whatever. World Series tickets, if they make it, likely will be starting at $1K each for 100/200 level infield 😳
  2. If you did player props on Yesavage for his last start, you probably made money and would be thanking him haha. The O/U for K's were probably 5.5 for that Game #2 of the ALDS and the Yankees were heavy favourites with Fried on the mound. Pottstown PA, where he's from, isn't that far from New York. It's probably people from his old school who are harassing his family because he beat the Yankees.
  3. They went down both 2-0 in 2015 and 2016. But both Game #1 and #2 for the Jays were on the road I recall. Drove down to Cleveland that weekend and what an awful two games 😥
  4. Going down to the game today with Spanky! Will meet you for beers after! Spanky said he's buying!
  5. FYI, a lot of seats released on Ticketmaster for today's game that aren't resale: https://www.ticketmaster.ca/toronto-blue-jays-alcs-home-game-toronto-ontario-10-12-2025/event/10006331ADA9504E
  6. You love to cherry pick stats as always. I stated that in my original post about the second half Gausman put up. Does that erase what we saw from him over the last 1.5 years in terms of regression and what we saw with his stuff moving forward? Again, he's a very a solid pitcher and I have no issue with him matching up against any other teams "ace" or better arm. Said that already. I'm not getting into a lengthy debate about whether Gausman is a "true ace" or a "No. 1" or "No. 2" type starter. There is no point in arguing with you over this. You seem to want to pick an argument for no reason. Is Gausman a Top 10 arm in all of baseball? No. Is he a top 20 arm? Debatable. When he's pitching like he was in 2021/2022 and 2023, sure thing. Is he a Top 25-30 arm in all of baseball? Not going to complain having Gausman ahead of some other guys past #30 that's for sure.
  7. I'm considering a lot of things when I deem someone a "true ace". Consistent performance, stuff, age, statistics, dominance and how they compare against other arms etc. I also stated that there aren't many pitchers like Crochet or Skubal and arms like that are tough to come by. So yeah it's not like 15 or 20 teams are going to have an arm like that. Or heck even 10 teams. There aren't many teams that have arms like Crochet, Skubal, or Skenes. As well, there are some arms who I would rank ahead of Gausman, though currently on the IL or missed time this season such as Cole, Wheeler, Sale, Burnes, Bieber, Woodruff, Greene, Ohtani, Snell etc. Gausman in 2024 and in the first half of this year wasn't looking like a "true ace" at all. I did state he turned things around in the second half but that doesn't erase 1.5 years of slight regression which is what we all saw. There was concern earlier this season that the Jays had no true front of the rotation arm given the struggles and regression we saw from Gausman and Berrios earlier.
  8. Blue Jays are favoured in Vegas. Odds: Mariners 2.15 Jays 1.74
  9. Not sure I consider Gausman a "true ace" or "No. 1" starter anymore. Last season and parts of this season he didn't look like his elite self from 2021/2022/2023. I think those days are behind him. However, he has pitched very in the second half and has turned things around, posting a 2.82 ERA with 85K/16BB in 83.1 innings which is encouraging and much needed. I think he's a "really good No. 2 starter" if he keeps up pitching at this level. Most importantly, he's pitching well at the right time and hope he continues to have a strong Postseason. No knocks against Gausman. I'm a huge fan. Not every team has a Crochet or Skubal and its not easy to draft/develop or trade for those guys. I'm fine with Gausman taking the ball in any must-win game and confident he can matchup against any of the better arms out there and keep the Jays in the game.
  10. Yeah was going to say the same thing. NHL and NBA are different. I guess MLB wants to limit the amount of travel days/off-days just for one game.
  11. A lot of the Mariners players and coaching staff likely still hungover.
  12. Yeah Mariners don't really have a choice. I see them going with Castillo for Game 1 and giving Gilbert an extra day of rest for Game 2.
  13. Jays should roll with Gausman and Yesavage in Game 1 and 2. Bieber in Game 3. Bullpen game could be a trickier for Game 4 in the ALCS given the 3 games in a row. Gausman would be good for Game #5 at least.
  14. After watching last nights game, you hope the Jays do add either Bassitt or Scherzer to the roster for the ALCS.
  15. I think yesterday was a throwing day for Gilbert anyways between starts, but yeah big difference pitching in an actual ALDS Game 5 environment in terms of stress on his arm. He threw 34 pitches over 2 innings, so he should be good for either Game #1 or #2. Castillo should be fine after only throwing 15 pitches. Forgot Woo was on the IL. They definitely need him back.
  16. Yeah good point. Will queue for Game 6 first and then hope some singles would still be available for Game 7 afterwards.
  17. Living in Toronto, would rather Detroit make it through so it's easier to see a potential road ALCS game. Doesn't matter anyways since all ALCS away games are during the week and can't make it. If it's Toronto vs. Seattle still will be a great series. Tougher and more expensive to fly out to Seattle from Toronto. Plus, tickets and hotels would be more expensive out in Seattle versus in Detroit or Windsor.
  18. If you had to pick a game to target first for when World Series tickets go on sale, would you target Game 6 or Game 7? Obviously depends on who the Jays would play.
  19. Go Tigers! Sucks that all ALCS away games are Wednesday/Thursday and Friday. Wish they played on a weekend in Detroit.
  20. If they signed Bo, they likely could move Jazz to an outfield spot and play him occasionally at 2B or 3B when they need to. If Cole comes back healthy, their rotation is pretty solid with him, Fried, Rodon, Schlittler and Gil. They could use some BP help after losing Weaver and Williams. I don't see them in the market for Kyle Schwarber. Yes he would be a great fit at Yankee Stadium, but they already have too many DH type bats with Judge, Stanton and Rice. Yankees should be all over someone like Kyle Tucker or Alex Bregman (if he opts out). Still would need a CF as well.
  21. I would have picked up a pair if I knew damn. I don't mind standing along a perch somewhere. Did that in 2015 for several games. Would buy a single 500 level seat and stand along one of the railings in the 100 level on the first or third base side. I did manage to get a single ticket for the ALCS Game 7 in Section 231. $510 face value lol. Would rather save up for World Series games if they happen, but damn they'll be expensive and probably even tougher to get online when they go on sale.
