  1. And that's why you don't book movie tickets that far in advance, even if its for the Avengers.
  2. A healthy and productive Matt Shoemaker likely nets the Jays some decent prospects at the trade deadline in July. This is a big blow for the Jays as now they can't cash in this July after Shoemaker's brilliant start.
  3. 4/100? Are you serious? Have you been following the free agent market over the last two years?

Marner is the best player on the Leafs!
  6. Snapped him up in BORED. He's this years version of Jesus Aguilar.
  7. He is one of only three players on the team with a positive WAR (0.3) so far this season. Brad Miller is no All-Star, but compared to some other trash Cleveland was rostering, he probably shouldn't have been DFA.

Glad I sold my Game 1, 2 and 5 tickets for above cost last month. Tickets are going below face value on sites like StubHub, Ticketmaster, Kijijji etc. for Round 1. It's been like that for the last 5 years that I've had season tickets. Likely going to pick up a pair for Game 2 if the prices are really good.

    Dinger was bad luck.
  10. Front page news over MLB.com? I swear this whole Chris Davis hitless streak has been annoying. MLB has been giving Chris Davis more spotlight than some of their best players like Mike Trout, Cody Bellinger, Christian Yelich, and others. MLB sucks at marketing their best talent.

LeBron wants to win now, so I'm sure he'll be open to moving some of the younger players on the Lakers in order to get better in the short term. Anthony Davis is still a possibility, and they could use a good PG whether its Lowry or Irving. I don't see Leonard being a fit in LA to be honest. If Leonard resigns with the Raps, I don't see Masai trading Lowry unless its a really solid return and if Lowry doesn't live up to expectations in the playoffs.

Winning Game 1 is important for them. I think with Leonard, Green and Gasol, this will be a different playoff team than we have seen before. If DeMar was still here, it wouldn't shock me if it took them 6 or 7 games to beat a team like Orlando in Round 1 lol. I say Raps in 5.

Sold my tix to Game 1, 2 and 5 last month. Enjoy the game!
  14. f*** that's a lot of injuries. At least they're getting Stanton back soon.
  15. You guys should be watching the Leafs game!
  16. Star players like Manny Machado and Bryce Harper still got paid as free agents this offseason. Nolan Arenado signed a really nice extension as well. As long as you're an elite talent, under 30 once you become a FA, you'll get a big long term contract. Teams aren't handing out 7-8 year deals anymore for players above 30, plain and simple. For example, according to you players like EE, Donaldson, and Jose Bautista should have been signed for 5 year extensions worth + $125 million. So I guess you would call those GM's or front offices foolish right now if they did such a thing, but I guess you want GM's to throw money at bad contracts? So I'm assuming you're a huge fan of the Albert Pujols deal. Ozzie could have waited IMO and made more money via ARB and free agency if he continues to play at an elite level agreed. I also think he could have asked for more. Though him and his agent made that decision and accepted it. Do you expect to take away a players right of making their own financial decisions?
  17. Ozzie is a big enough boy to make his own financial decisions. He decided to take it, so he did. He had every right to turn down that contract and counter with another number as well.
  18. Keith Law has really gone downhill, since he has become a huge SJW and too WOKE.
  19. It's hilarious how MLB is promoting his hitless streak more than lets say their best player, Mike Trout.
  20. I think all Blue Jays players should be forced to read Plato's Republic.
  21. Pitching has done a respectable job during the first week, though pitching against the awful lineups of Detroit, Baltimore and Cleveland early on. This team is going to struggle scoring runs though until Vladdy and Bo are called up.
