  1. They already have for sure. A lot of properties over $2 million back in February/March took the biggest hit, especially outside of the GTA.
  2. Depends on how much money you can put down, what you could lock in at and if you could get a deal on a property. For example, a lot of bungalows or back splits in Mississauga/Toronto were selling for $1.8M-2M almost back in February, now you can get them for about $1.3-1.5M. Anything outside of the GTA dropped drastically since February/March. Pretty much prices returned to pre-Covid levels so 2018/2019 prices. I don't see the Bank of Canada raising interest rates any higher but who knows. If you have money in the bank, and could put a good chunk down, it's not a bad time to buy. But yeah its unpredictable.
  3. Yeah, free agent market now is pretty bone dry. Some solid guys still available like Conforto, Profar, and some pitchers/relievers, but all the elite talent is gone. Maybe Giants look at the trade market to make a big move. Definitely a big PR hit though. Imagine some fans who bought season seats or flex packs based on the Giants spending big money this offseason.
  4. Crazy turn of events. Mets are crazy.
  5. If you think Drury was for real in 2022 and could continue close to those numbers, this was a good signing.

Anyone with Bet 365, there is a 30% extra Profit Boost on Lightning/Maple Leafs same game parlay.
  7. Shocked no Chapman or Kirk haha.
  8. Yeah I don't think there is a rush to move one of their catchers unless the right deal comes along. A lot could still happen from now until Opening Day. If a team loses their No. 1 catcher during ST, first team they'll call is likely the Jays.
  9. Yeah given this years market, if Machado has another season like he did in 2022, he gets a 8/$220M deal eyes closed.
  10. Tough one, but I think Chapman can get $80-100M for sure.
  11. Yeah I don't understand why some posters would think Toronto can't offer him full playing time here. Jays aren't signing him to big money just to be a platoon, unless like you said he's hitting .180 after the first three months.
  12. Jays are in win now mode. If they could sign all 3 of those guys, worth going over IMO. Would prefer Conforto and Rogers. Kluber and Cueto would be a flip of the coin for me haha.
  13. I don't think it would hurt. You can never have enough pitching. Bringing a vet like Cueto or Kluber as a No. 5 is only going to cost money - likely around $10M. Having Kikuchi and White as your No. 6 and 7 heading into the season is a lot better IMO. You'll feel the ripple effects if an injury happens to a top arm like Gausman or Manoah or Bassitt or if Berrios misses time etc. Always good to have some insurance rather than scrambling over 162 game season. When the Postseason comes around, you really don't care about Cueto or Kluber unless you need them because of an injury. Though the focus should be building the best roster over 162 game season.
  14. Agreed, from a depth perspective, the Jays have a very deep bullpen with solid arms. Though they do need another elite high K% arm who can act as a bridge to Romano to really solidify the bullpen. They've done a great job building depth with guys like Garcia, Bass, Cimber, Pop, Mayza, though they aren't guys I want pitching in a 1-run game in the 8th inning. Hopefully they could add another arm like Rogers via free agency and hope maybe Pearson/Merryweather can become a special arm down in the pen.
  15. https://www.mlb.com/news/best-mlb-free-agents-remaining Not many great options left haha. Jurickson Profar could be interesting since he could play all over and is a switch hitter, though doubt the Blue Jays are interested. I think the Jays are best to target a younger OF under control via trade if they could.
  16. Yeah the first 75-80 mins of the game were boring with Argentina dominating and France looking awful. Thought it was over. Though after getting that penalty kick, France just went to another gear. The last ten minutes and extra time afterwards were awesome. Hate when a match is decided by penalty kicks, but happy Argentina was able to win.
  17. Yeah I remember at the beginning of the offseason when things were starting off slow, we all were wanting some big headlines haha. Now every major FA signed before Christmas means January likely will be a slow baseball news month. Hoping for at least a couple of blockbuster trades.
  18. I think Turner's bat will be a nice fit at Fenway, but agreed if he's only going to DH, keeping JD Martinez around on a one-year deal would have been better IMO.
  19. Yeah if you can't play him in left field that much, not worth it. Plus have to open up a roster spot for him. Just thought as a lefty bat with some good OBP skills who could play around 1B/DH/ and LF occasionally when you need.

I hope so, but they need to clean up their act. Against a team like the Chiefs or Eagles, won't cut it.
  21. How about Brandon Belt? Wouldn't be a bad fit in Toronto.

Bills really need to smarten up. I know they won yesterday, but they don't look a SuperBowl team the sloppy way they have been playing.
  23. Instead of paying a yearly fee for Fantrax premium, that money should go towards buying a bottle!
  24. Wonder where he could sign. Dodgers and the Yankees definitely would be interested and need a 3B. A reunion with Baltimore is possible. Hope he stays out of the AL East though.
  25. Rogers Home Phone Call to the Bullpen for Taylor Rogers!
