  1. I would have been concerned some other manager in the LOD would have scooped him up, so I said to myself have to make a quick move.
  2. I picked up Ken Giles in the LOD.
  3. It's always been a three-year window in my book, four if you include last season. If the Jays don't win or get to a World Series during these next three years, Atkins is likely gone anyways. He's not staying on as GM forever. How long did the retooling take after the 2016 season? They expected to compete in 2017 but injuries to their star players changed things. 2018 and 2019 were tough years and 2020 was a shortened season but the team did make the Postseason. In 2021, they missed out by only 1 game.
  4. A lot of teams look different now than two weeks ago. Like the Sheriff said, 2.5 months is still an eternity in baseball. - Mets are 18-19 and now 7 GB behind ATL. Would have thought the Mets and Braves would be battling for top spot in the division but that doesn't look like it will happen. - Dodgers have turned it around recently, going 8-2 in their last 10. They looked mediocre a couple weeks ago, now they look like they're the team to beat in the division. - Giants, while still just 16-20, have played better and looking more like a .500 team. - Pirates are starting to show their true colours now. 1-9 in their last 10. - Brewers have been disappointing, 2-8 in their last 10. Two weeks ago, they were looking like one of the elite teams in the NL. - Astros started off mediocre but have played much better baseball as of late.

Win tomorrow in Toronto and its a whole new series. Leafs played very well last night on both sides of the puck. Would be nice to have a big statement game where they win 5-1 tomorrow but I'll take any win at this point.
  6. If the Jays won the two games in Philly, we wouldn't even be talking about 2026. Yes frustrating losses will admit. If Jays take 2 of 3 from ATL and 2 of 3 from the Yankees, we'll be talking about how amazing this team is!
  7. I'm going to try this in MLB the Show and see how it goes.
  8. If both Vlad or Bo aren't extended, do you move one of them before the 2024 season or 2025 season with only one year left?
  9. I do care about the organization from 2026 to 2030, though I want this organization to take advantage of the present. This season, 2024 and 2025 are going to be the best windows for this team to contend for a World Series. Right now, this team doesn't look like a World Series contender. They're good enough to make one of the Wildcard spots and afterwards yes anything can happen in the Postseason. Though I hope we can see an ALDS or ALCS this season at least.
  10. Betting a decent team run line against the Oakland A's is probably the best bet you can make in baseball.
  11. John Lannan was the best with the Nats! He was their ace before Strasburg!
  12. I'll go with Belt today.

It's a must win for the Leafs tonight.
  14. I think he's being sarcastic. But yeah 8 starts in and Manoah has been awful. Doesn't look right. Big difference.
  15. Marlins new ballpark isn't in that great of a location actually. It's like in a residential area outside of the downtown core, along one of the highways that lead to the airport. Near Little Havana I believe. They have two World Series, but those were years playing at Dolphin Stadium and the teams were awful for many years after. Though yeah Miami has always seemed like an awful place for successful attendance. Rays just need a new ballpark downtown IMO. Their success on the field should lead to more people at the gates. The Trop is in an awful depressing area off the highway with nothing around it.
  16. Possible IL. Walks are way too high. He's only throwing 92/93 instead of 95/96 like he did last season. Something is off with him. Or demote him. Maybe will help him more in the long run.
  17. Yeah not a big fan of Richards sitting twice between half innings. He did his job striking out the side against the meat of the order. 1.1 innings for him was good enough. Should have went with Swanson or heck even Bass haha to start that inning.
  18. I think if the Rays played in a new ballpark and actually somewhere along the waterfront in downtown Tampa, they could do better in terms of attendance.
  19. I think the Orlando market could be different than Miami and Tampa. Orlando is growing and get's a lot more tourists because of the theme parks, which could be helpful. But yeah, Florida wouldn't be my first choice for another baseball team. Would prefer Nashville, Portland or Las Vegas.
  20. Damn that looks sweet!
