  1. Go all in and sign Ohtani as well haha
  2. D'Backs were leading the NL West in June. They were definitely a borderline WC team IMO at the beginning of the season. Didn't expect them to make the World Series, but they have some nice pieces and played the Brewers and Dodgers in a short series when they weren't 100% and yeah got hot/lucky at the right time.
  3. He's still wearing a Blue Jays shirt. He wants to come back!
  4. Would love to see Trout play with Harper. That would be awesome!
  5. I didn't think Arizona could win 2 games at the Bank. What a series though!
  6. Probably one of the most exciting and dynamic players in baseball after Ohtani and Acuna. Posted a 6 WAR season in his first full season and he's only 23.
  7. Pfaadt was a pretty highly touted pitching prospect in their system. He sucked during the regular season, but I really like what I saw from him in the Postseason. I think he could be a legit front of the rotation arm for them. Pitching his best at the right time this season.
  8. Kevin Ginkel is America's setup man!
  9. I'm afraid to say anything good about the D'Backs because I'm feared that I will be attacked by the Term. D'Backs were a streaky team during the season. They were leading the NL West approx. 40% of the way through the 2023 season. I said and other posters even said earlier this season the D'Backs were going to be a fun team to watch. Corbin Carroll wasn't just challenging for NL ROY. He also was in the discussion for NL MVP most of the season. Gallen was in the discussion for NL Cy Young majority of the season. Kelly was a solid No. 2 starter who posted a 3.2 WAR season. Marte had a nice bounce back season posting a 4.2 WAR. Christian Walker hit 33 HR's and posted 3.8 WAR. Perdomo posted a 2.7 WAR season and LGJ hit 24 HR's and posted a 2.1 WAR season. Moreno played better in the second half. They had some nice pieces. D'Backs played the Brewers and Dodgers both at the right time when neither team were at 100% in a short series. D'Backs have got hot at the right time. I don't think anyone expected them to make the World Series, but they've got some nice pieces and with some luck, they've got to this point.
  10. I bet the Phillies were saying the same thing before the NLCS haha.
  11. Good thing Connor didn't make that $800 bet.
  12. Not sure we see the top of the Phils lineup in the 9th. Would be nice to see Harper get one more AB.
  13. Ron Darling everytime Saalfrank came in: "He only pitched in 10 games during the regular season!" Saalfrank 7 BB's to 13 batters faced. Shouldn't be pitching in a 4-2 game in the 7th.
  14. A 2 run lead never feels safe at Citizens Bank Park. Great game so far!
  15. Hoffman has been really good this season: 11.87 K/9 and 1.5 WAR in 52.1 innings. Nice to see him having success!
  16. Looks like this is going to go down to the wire! Happy we have a better Game 7 than last night haha.
  17. Who said I was taking a bet with Term? Again Spanky creating a false narrative and trying to stir up s*** like he always does.
  18. lol You're a useless poster on here man. You sit on the sidelines, try to stir up arguments between other posters and always type "lol" from the sidelines. Stop trying to instigate. I never even saw or responded to Term's posts yet you're trying to paint me as a chicken because I didn't accept a bet, which he never even directed at me to begin with.
  19. You should be nominated for most arrogant poster on this board. You're better than everyone and are never wrong!
  20. There is always luck involved when any team makes a FA value signing. There is nothing wrong with that. Semien and Ray are again not in the same conversation as KK or Belt. Semien was 29 when the Blue Jays signed him to a one-year contract and he was a year removed from a 6.5 WAR season. Ray was 28 when the Jays traded for him and he had 2-3 solid years in Arizona before. Belt was 35 and KK was 33. Both of those guys were on the wrong side of 30, aging players with durability issues and outside of their prime.
  21. So you're saying the Jays didn't get lucky with the Belt and KK signings this year?
  22. You should maybe reply to actual posts so others know who they're directed at.
