Haha I just did a $5 parlay on Tampa and Boston which paid $25. Calm down.

Glad Bet365 gives you an early payout when a team goes up by 3 goals haha. Kept my TB/BOS parlay alive at least or else would be screwed.

Geez Leafs always play bad on a Monday.
  4. Yeah as a LF/DH he could be intriguing. He offers more power than Teo, LGJ, and Pederson.
  5. Let's trade for Soto as well. Just imagine haha.
  6. If the Jays managed to sign Ohtani, would you make a trade for Soto as well? I mean why the F not! Imagine a lineup with both those guys!
  7. I don't see Hoskins signing a 4 year/$60M contract and wouldn't want to sign him for that as well. He likely signs a one-year deal + an option to build back his value again. He's a 1B/DH type. Wouldn't want to lock him up till he's 35. I think he would be a great fit in this lineup though. Jays need a masher who could hit 30+ HR's.
  8. If the Jays sign Ohtani, I'm buying a bottle of Hibiki 21 Yo Whisky for $1500 to celebrate!
  9. If Kikuchi can do it, so can Mitch White.
  10. I'm definitely for it. This lineup needs a bat who could knock out 30+ HR's.

Bills look like they might be fighting to the last week of the season for a Playoff spot. 5-4 now and their schedule isn't the easiest - play the Eagles, Chiefs, Chargers and Dolphins on the road, host the Broncos, Cowboys, Patriots and Jets at home. Gotta hope they can go 6-2 over those 8 games. Can Josh Allen still win MVP?
  12. As long as his contract doesn't tie down the Jays in regards to spending this offseason or at the trade deadline, I'm fine with it. If we're hearing that the Jays don't have enough payroll available later on this offseason to sign a solid bat or two, then I would be pissed.
  13. The Jays do have an open spot though in their rotation right? Is Manoah guaranteed the No. 5 spot? I'm sure someone like Junis or Velasquez or whoever would sign here if they know they can compete for a rotation spot. Which other teams would put them right into the rotation, other than Oakland or KC or maybe a team like Colorado?

Barnes looking like he definitely could be a stud and a guy to build around. Hope the Raps could make some noise in the next 2-3 years. They could get back to being a Top 4 team in the East if they manage/trade their assets properly. Hope they can turn Siakam, OG and Trent into something worth while.
  15. It's not crazy to think they'll all be healthy again, but can't go into 2024 and just assume they all will. It's better to be safe than sorry. As well, in terms of performance, does Kikuchi build off his strong 2023 season? Does Gausman still pitch as one of the best pitchers in baseball or does he lose a tick? Bassitt is going to be 35 and just threw a career high of 200 innings. Does Berrios repeat his 2023 season? Which Manoah do the Jays end up getting? Outside of Manoah, 4/5ths of the Jays rotation is going to be 30 or above at some point next season.
  16. Who is his agent? Geez I doubt he gets more than $12.5M. Would have taken the guaranteed money. Unless he really wants out of San Fran.
  17. I doubt a team offers Jake Junis a guaranteed SP role unless it's a team like Oakland or KC haha. If the Jays show that they have open competition for the No. 5 spot in the rotation (which they likely do), signing an arm like Junis or Velasquez definitely will be easier.
  18. I don't think MikeM was suggesting to sign all of those guys together. But definitely one of them would be a nice add as some quality SP depth that you can keep on the MLB roster. I'm sure one of those guys would sign here with an open competition for the No. 5 spot in the rotation.
  19. Can't sign all of those guys, but definitely one of them as SP insurance is doable. Junis would be a nice add. Has shown he could be successful as a starter over a short period of time and can pitch multiple innings out of the pen if need be.
  20. Hopefully the asking price for one year of Soto isn't that much. If the Jays can acquire Soto, he essentially gives you what you were wanting from Vlad. Soto + Bo would be the key guys offensively in the lineup. Soto could likely produce 5-6 WAR and Bo 4-5 WAR. Likely could get 10+ WAR combined from those two. Add in another bat with some pop like Teo or Soler or JD Martinez, the lineup is looking good. If Vladdy returns to somewhere between his 2021 and 2022 season, even better. Overall, I don't think it's smart to count on Vladdy as being an anchor/elite bat for this lineup. Need to bring in someone else.
  21. I expect Varsho to bounce back and produce a 3-4 WAR season as a full-time CF. I don't want him hitting anywhere in the middle-of-the-order though, unless he proves throughout the season otherwise. Hopefully he slots somewhere #7-9 in the batting order. I hope Springer could bounce back as well, but worried about his age and injury history. He could end up being a dead asset.
  22. Yeah his last two seasons have been brutal. Was a beast in 2021, but chances of him returning close to that form in 2024 is very unlikely. He would only be good as a last resort if the Jays were unable to sign a 1B/DH type bench bat and if they had the roster space.
  23. Bring back Cito Gaston. He'll teach these hitters to pull the ball and will play veterans over young bats!

Leafs played sloppy last night. Every time they tied up the game, Buffalo scored like a minute or two later. Unbelievable. Don't understand how some Leafs fans paid like over $400-500 for a pair of Green's last night haha. It's going to be Deja Vu all over again. Once the Playoffs role around, Leafs will have an early round exit in R1 or R2. Sucks they can't put together a legit Stanley Cup contender with guys like Matthew, Marner, Nylander etc.
  25. The Padres declined Wacha's two-year, $32 million option for 2024-25 on Saturday, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. That's a real head scratcher. Wacha has posted a 3.27 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 228:74 K:BB over 261.2 innings over last two seasons. You would think he's worth $16M. Padres likely losing Snell as a free agent as well, so don't get why they didn't pick up the option on Wacha. Padres definitely selling Soto and Machado this offseason.
