  1. Heck look at the numbers Joey Bart has put up with the Pirates in limited time. Could have been had for nothing as well at the end of ST. 4 HR, 12 RBI and a .267/.362/.517 slashline with a 149 wRC+ and 0.6 fWAR in 21 games.
  2. Just said they could have used a bat like him. As well, definitely a nice comeback season from Stanton if he stays healthy. He looked toast last season. Also, there was discussion on this board about him being the next bat to reach 500+ HR's. He probably accomplishes that feat in 2026 if he stays on the field and would be 36 that season. 600 could still be in reach but he needs to average 30-40 HR's over the next 6 to 7 seasons.
  3. Stanton with 13 HR's, 29 RBI, 0.6 WAR and a .246/.295/.520 slash line thus far in 46 games. Looks like he could have a 30-40 HR season if he stays on the field. Jays could definitely use a power bat like his.
  4. Yeah given where this team is now in the season, a split isn't good enough. They need to come away with 3 of 4. If they were 5 games over .500, different story. They need to climb out of this hole and they have to dominate these teams like the Tigers.
  5. I thought the Blue Jays haven't just been beating these teams, but dominating them and looking like a powerhouse. I guess that was short lived haha. Hopefully they can take the next two in Detroit which would be nice.
  6. Kikuchi definitely the best chip agreed. Sucks to trade him but he's unlikely to re-sign here anyways in the offseason being a Boras client. If the Jays are hovering around .500 still, I would trade him for a big return. Heck could still add a veteran back-end starter at the deadline likely on the cheap if they want to make a small push at that last WC spot anyways. Would suck to trade Jano. Would be nice if Jays could sign him to an extension, but understand if he's healthy he'll be a hot commodity to a team that needs catching. Yimi will be a good chip, but like you said just a reliever rental. Might be tough trade Bo or Vlad in season, but a team that trades for them now essentially gets two Postseason runs with them.
  7. Cowser robbed Tommy Pham of a HR to end the game from the White Sox haha. Damn those Orioles getting some lucky breaks two nights in a row.
  8. Did anyone go down to Comerica this weekend?
  9. AL West doesn't look that good at all. As long as the Astros rotation stays healthy, I think they should be fine. Back end of the bullpen has settled in nicely now as well. They're not a 10-20 team like they showed over the first month.
  10. Every team has pretty much dominated the White Sox this season or even the Tigers lol. Calm down.
  11. I love how when the Blue Jays have a hot two or three games, guys like Max and Brownie come back on the board and go off like they do. When the Jays lose games and play awful, they disappear and you never even see them. But yeah World Series here we come after winning 2 of 3 against the White Sox and crushing the Tigers in Game 1!
  12. LOL. This is coming from the person who actually worships the ground Atkins walks on and more.
  13. He shouldn't be but he's already 34 and players sometimes do fall off a cliff at that age after years of injuries and being banged up.
  14. Jays should have signed a corner OF bat with some pop and move Varsho to CF instead of bringing KK back as the starting CF. I don't have any expectations of Kirk with the bat unfortunately given his conditioning. He'll get on-base and hit his singles, but at least defensively and game calling he provides great value. Looks like those two hot months of 2022 were just a hot two months. Sharing time with Jansen, Kirk should be a 2 WAR catcher even with a noodle bat. Springer is 34+ now, so what did you expect at the backend of his contract? Even when the Jays signed him, he had injury concerns. He was solid here for his first two years. Not sure we even see him post a 2 WAR season, but hope so. He looks toast now.
  15. Did anyone see the way the Orioles/White Sox game ended last night?
  16. Nobody wants to sign it, but you need to stop taking the blue pill when it comes to this organization. You're living in an illusion if you think this team is built for success to go on a deep Postseason run or that this is one of the best front offices in baseball, when there are obviously many red flags currently with this core as pointed out by many of the prominent posters on this board.
  17. Coming back healthy is the big question. Spending time on the IL for a good chunk in the early going of this season already, now you see where the risk was with him?
  18. I had no issue with the Green deal, though I wouldn't consider it a "bargain" like some others on here were raving about this past offseason. If Green stays healthy and returns to his prior form where he was a 1.5 - 2 WAR arm, fantastic. Obviously, there was a good amount of risk taken given that he's missed significant time and returning from TJS for a 30+ year old reliever. As well, teams take chances on high risk/reward type BP arms all the time, but they don't cost $10.5M. Look at the Red Sox signing Liam Hendriks this past offseason and when healthy he was a superior arm to Green.
  19. Well, it's quite easy when you guys are shills for Atkins and this front office.
  20. Great to see Manoah looking good on the mound. Hope he keeps it up and provides the Jays some valuable innings. Varsho is an easy guy to root for. If he makes some improvements offensively, he has the opportunity to be a stud. Would love to see him put together a .250/40 HR/25-30 SB type of season along with his defense.
  21. Yeah better than just reading "lol" posts for sure!
  22. Still defending the Green deal I see. You and some others will never let it go.
  23. I also owned a share in David Fry for maybe a week or so earlier in the season ugh.
  24. I think Bo will turn it around offensively. He'll hit .290-.300 with 20 HR's, 80 RBI and a low .800 POS when all is said and done. Maybe that's too optimistic, but that's where he has been around for his career. Never was a huge fan of his offensive skills, since he has low BB rates. Plus his defensive abilities are awful at shortstop and likely needs to be moved off from short in the near future. Wouldn't want the Jays to sign him to a long term extension anyways, though hopefully they could trade him this season or in the offseason for some assets.
