  1. AL Central isn't that bad of a division. Like sure it's not a power house like the AL East could be when all teams are clicking, but Cleveland, Kansas, Minnesota and Detroit all had solid seasons.
  2. Yeah Rays weren't really a force at all this season and while the Red Sox showed some glimpses of being contenders, they were just a .500 team pretty much. AL Central has some decent teams and it isn't as bad of a division as its made out to be. Cleveland really surprised me this season, especially considering they lost Bieber and McKenzie sucked and were without Gavin Williams until July. That's 3/5 of their rotation. Offensively, J-Ram is a stud, and they had some solid contributions from Naylor, Fry, Kwan, and Noel. Kansas City had a nice offseason and I thought of them as a team who could be a sleeper. They solidified their rotation with Lugo & Wacha to go along with Ragans. As for Detroit, they have some nice young pieces and have got hot at the right time. Twins are meh, but they had a solid rotation in Lopez, Ryan (when healthy), and Ober, plus some young guys who were able to step in. As for their lineup, they got guys like Correa, Buxton & Lewis all healthy. Any of those guys could dominate in a short series and be a difference maker.
  3. He'll be a great buy low this offseason.
  4. Ordering glasses of wine at a restaurant is the biggest ripoff. Some places charge $15 per glass for a 6oz glass, which is ridiculous.
  5. Try $20+ now in downtown Toronto. If you have a date night and order two drinks each, likely costing you around $100+ with taxes and tip after as well.
  6. Yeah if I eat out now, I just drink Perrier Water since if you order a couple of beers, likely adds another $30+ to your bill. I got beer at home and can't fathom spending $10-12 for a beer that I could buy at the LCBO for $3.
  7. Burgers at my favourite sports bar are all around $22-$25 and even at places like Joey's or Earls a burger runs you around the same. A&W is extremely overrated and overpriced. Good burgers but crazy prices. For fast food burgers, Harvey's still would be my No. 1 but there aren't as many around.
  8. Or even make your own burgers at home haha. There's a good fast food/gourmet burger place called Matt's Burger Lab. They have deals everyday of the week and their burgers are actually pretty good. Eating at a full service restaurant likely requires an hour+ of dining alongside + tip as well. Most restaurants these days burgers are $20 + anyways. Most people prefer eating fast food for the convenience and want something quick.
  9. Five Guys is still way superior to McDonald's. Better to spend the extra couple of bucks for the better quality. Even an order of McD's medium fries are like $4.50 now which is crazy.
  10. Too much of an optimist haha. Kikuchi at 198 K's right now, so should get 200.
  11. Was pretty close on the division and Witt Jr. either wins the AL MVP or is a finalist.
  12. If Detroit hosts any Postseason games, would make the drive down for sure one weekend.
  13. Yeah actually was pretty good. It's big at least in comparison to the Big Mac which has decreased in size over the years. But yeah $9.99 just for the burger alone is a lot. But definitely was good for McDonalds.
  14. I bet $10 on the Royals before the season at 126 to 1 odds to win the World Series, so will be rooting for them in the Postseason haha. Will be good to have Bobby Witt in the playoffs for sure.
  15. The Great Arch burger just came out at McDonalds.
  16. They're making some noise. Would be fun to see them make the WC.
  17. Yeah if he came on a one-year deal worth $4-5M, he would be a decent target.
  18. Him and Kyle Tucker.
  19. Playoffs in a 20-team dynasty, and you have to keep one: Camilo Doval or Daniel Hudson?
  20. Good possible comparison. Looks like he could be!
  21. I think if he signs a short term two-year deal, he's getting between $40M and $50M. No way Jays get him for under $20M AAV. Kiley McDaniel from ESPN did a FA ranking list back in August and put Christian Walker in the group of $40M-$80M dollar guys. Depends on how the market plays out this offseason. Doubt he gets a 4-year deal close to $70-80M given his age like you said, unless a team really overpays for him. I think a two-year deal would be perfect, but yeah the Jays might have to go a third year or higher AAV if there is some competition for his services this offseason.
  22. Yeah if Berrios can be like the Mark Buehrle and/or RA Dickey of the Jays in 2015, that is still valuable moving forward. Someone who will outperform his FIP, make his start every 5th day, eat innings and be a durable arm.
  23. He was elite/lights-out from ages 26 to 30 when used in high leverage like in the 7th or 8th. To expect that same level at ages 33 and 34 especially after a major injury, is like you expecting to have a date with Sydney Sweeney. Unrealistic expectations.
  24. I don't have an issue with Vladdy splitting time at 3B next season especially if the Jays are able to add more thump from 1B/DH. I don't see the Jays signing Bregman, who will cost over $200M, and the other FA options are pretty bad. Doubt they turn to the trade market as well since there are only so/so options who likely would take up around $12M of salary space + assets to acquire. Unless they want to go after a reclamation project like Yoán Moncada. Ernie Clement has held his own so having him start around 80 to 100 games at 3B, with Vladdy starting around 60 or so, wouldn't be that bad.
