  1. That depends. Did they get those six runs, by Reyes making six more errors?
  2. I remember JFAS trying to get me to include him with Dan Haren in order to trade up for Rob Refsynder in #LOD.
  3. You have more offense than you need, and you don't really need Springer back. So, I would try to trade Stanton for an elite pitcher like Scherzer, who can rack up some K's.
  4. I think Mariano Rivera Jr. had a dad that played in the majors briefly. For one of the New York teams, I think.
  5. I have a feeling that the version presented to the public differs significantly to the version that Reyes originally submitted before the PR people 'fixed it'. It was probaby a little something like this: "Who gives a faaaawk?"
  6. It's likely just to pave the way to bring an NFL team to Toronto. This way, the Argos ownership won't raise a stink when they bring in the NFL team.
  7. Uh oh, I hope this doesn't get interpreted as a gay slur, or we'll ship him out of town, for a middle reliever, and call up Andy Burns.
  8. I got MLBTV through PS3, but you can't get any Jays or post-season without a proxy, and then it's very choppy. Not worth it, imo.
  9. If Edwin plays first, he's probably a top choice to be DH. Smoak is not a great hitter, and I'm not sure who the other contenders are. I'm still totally pissed off about that Lind for Estrada deal.
  10. I assume you guys are done whining about Colabello being called up now?
  11. Only a matter of time before someone goes up to bat and holds the bat backwards for a 'hilarious' joke. Or maybe they call time to run over and chug a beer during an at-bat. Funny times.
  12. Or it could be because Colabello was doing well in AAA. .337/.421/.554 in 95 plate appearances. He's probably just as good as Smoak, and maybe a little more in-the-groove right now.
  13. ********. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. You think the umps penalized Youkilis for being the biggest douche of them all? Nope.
  14. If you could only pick one player, which would you take?
  15. There should be a punishment if you try to sneak through an obscene song and it gets rejected. Like, you debut to the Beebs.
  16. I think the dad erred when he called himself a feminist. That kind of "music" really shouldn't be played at a Blue Jays game. He's not being an unreasonable parent to request a lack of vulgar music at a baseball game, particularly when he's bringing his kids.
  17. The thing about LOD is it mimics real life baseball. If the Jays need a second baseman, they can't just expect some unowned guy to step in and immediately deliver results. Which means, you have to make trades. So yeah, if you expect to just get guys for free instead of negotiating and making deals, it's a terrible league. I will admit the interface sucks.
  18. Yeah, I always give up on my teams if I don't do well too. It's good to be in about six leagues, and then just focus on the one where I'm doing well, and dismiss all the other ones as uninteresting.
  19. What? I thought the Mets didn't face the Jays until June?
  20. An extra stolen base to help out your arbitration negotiations.
  21. Norris: 147 innings 2.1 fWAR Sanchez: 168 innings: 0.7 fWAR Castro: 38 innings: 0.3 fWAR Osuna: 45 innings: 0.6 fWAR Travis 320 PA: -0.3 fWAR Pompey: 612 PA: 2.7 fWAR
  22. And I'm quite surprised, your main contribution is a curt, snippy little reply.
  23. Well 50% of your 'points' come from hitters, and 50% of your 'points' come from pitchers. So, they should have equal weighting. It's really about the divide between your pick, and the next best pick. You have to decide if there's a bigger gap between Mike Trout and Giancarlo Stanton (or whoever you think #2 is) or if there's a bigger gap between Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer (or whoever you think #2 is). And sure, in our 7x7 leagues, there are guys who will help in all seven. But someone like Kershaw can absolutely dominate in three categories, as oppose to merely contribute. I tend to draft pitchers more in the first couple of rounds, simply because everyone else tends to draft hitters and the pitchers are underdrafted. And there are plenty of late bargains on the hitting front too, such as: all of my players.
