  1. I don't know if this has been posted but I saw this on Keith Law's twitter feed. http://i.imgur.com/1SGkZ20.png Adam Wainwright with one of the dumbest quotes in a while. It sucks because he's such a good pitcher.
  2. A little off topic, but does anyone remember if Keith Law's top 100 draft prospects insider article was posted on here?
  3. I would be surprised if they wouldn't do Profar for Bautista straight up. 3 more years of elite production at a price friendly $14 million per year. I feel some people in this thread are underestimating Bautista's value. Profar may currently be the best prospect in baseball, but Bautista is a proven commodity who should provide atl east two more years of great value.
  4. Francisco Liriano is dealing against the Reds right now. 3 perfect innings, 7K, and only 34 pitches thrown.
  5. Do I have to fill that last pick? Personally I would rather just keep 11 prospects until the March draft. Chances are that I would end up cutting the last guy I select in the June draft come next March anyway.
  6. I still can't get over Stults swinging at ball 4 on a 3-1 count. If I was a Padre fan I would have lost it.
  7. 2013 is worse and it's not too close for me. Most fans had very low expectations going into 2009. It was nice that we had a good start, but in reality we weren't ready to compete. We went into 2013 expecting the playoffs. It could still turn around, but as of now, this year has been a huge disappointment.
  8. Overall, I think you'll definitely get more value out of this. Skaggs has a good ceiling and even if he pitches like a #3, that's still amazing value since he is so young. I wanted to trade a younger piece of a guy who can step in and help me now though. With some aging outfielders, I want to make a strong push in the next 1-3 years. A few concerns with Weaver's velocity but if he can hang around the 87-89 area, I'm confident I'll get at least a few more good years. Worst case scenario would be if Skaggs comes up and pitches lights out next year, already outperforming Weaver. if that happens, I will probably go jump off a building.
  9. Lol and no this was not some trade that just popped up. We've been in negotiations for weeks. Nice doin' business with you.
  10. I'll probably chop down a lot of my RP each year.
  11. When is the deadline to trade picks for the upcoming June draft?
  12. Holy s***. Everything Rogers did on that play was amazing. Great decision to come home, and then he didn't panic in the rundown.
  13. Thank you for the reassurance that my team is getting frustratingly unlucky right now.
  14. Not sure if the OP ingeniously anticipated your clever ruse, or went derp on the poll options.
  15. No it is not. It is the 2nd worst thing ever; next to JPA, which is actually the worst thing ever.
  16. Lol be prepared. You have now set yourself up for the biggest trolling if you do anything but win this year.
  17. Arizona's young pitching is filthy. Probably the best young pitching in the majors (rivalled by Seattle, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, St. Louis, Tampa Bay)
  18. NotGraphs is like The Onion of baseball.
  19. Haha that's what happens when you come after Bautista. Bitch.
  20. Haha I saw that. Even though it's disturbing how he doesn't take his lack of walks serious; I must admit that those tweets are pretty funny.
  21. Who is excited for Skaggs 2013 debut tomorrow?? As excited as I am, I know I will be benching him against a tough Texas offense.
  22. Yeah he was mouthing off to Lind/Rivera as he walked off the field.
