It's a solid trade; no clear winner. I personally like the Santana side because quality catchers are scarce in a 20 team league and Santana is a proven .800+ OPS bat. Myers has a ton of potential but I feel he has to hit a great deal of that potential just to make it an even trade.
It makes sense for Sil though because he also has d'Arnaud coming up soon (if I remember correctly). Overall both sides should be happy with the players they received.
Edit: Now send me some damn Chris Perez offers!
It will be interesting. Some June draft picks fetched a lot and that was immediately following the initial MiLB draft. By next June, there may be a lot of unowned prospects that make an impact.
I agree that a lot of these picks are overrated in value though.
Well keep working your way through it because it gets better and better. Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, LOST, The Walking Dead are my favorite series (in no particular order -- though I haven't seen The Wire or Boardwalk Empire yet)
J.P. shouldn't be talking any kind of s*** when he's performed as poorly as he has. Case closed.
Oh wait, he has 15 HR this year and every other stat is irrelevant #top10catcher
