  1. Anyone in Hamilton know where to go for this later?
  2. Well this truly was RIP Gonzalez. Nice!
  3. She was a lot better 12 years ago, then wasted the rest of her prime in Boston.
  4. lol good point. I wouldn't say no, not sure many here would...
  5. Wouldn't be much better in Toronto if the Jays sucked.
  6. Yep. Would not be shocked to see him have a decent start... I'm not talking 7 shutout innings though.
  7. Well, let's go Stroman! Been waiting wayyyy too long for this.

  9. That's fair and I am not a jerk to say your opinion is trash. When I watch both guys it's clear to me Tanaka has higher strikeout potential, Keuchel does well to get grounders which is good too. If both guys are healthy I take Tanaka in a 1 game wild card easily, but we'll see what happens it looks like Kazmir might pitch the wild card game if they make it.
  10. I think Tanaka and Keuchel are pretty even, Keuchel is having a better season but in terms of true talent they are about on the same level, I might even think Tanaka is slightly better. Pineda is better than McHugh, most people who watch a lot of baseball know this. I am really high on Severino and Kazmir is outperforming his peripherals by quite a bit. Fiers is probably better than Nova, but that's it. For me New York has a better rotation and I don't think it's awfully close. Just my opinion, you can believe otherwise if you like.
  11. Rockies now have 2 players with 40 HR this season. Hopefully Bautista hits 1 more to join them! Problem is he might get a couple rest days if they can clinch.
  12. I think their RISP has been higher than expected, someone correct me if I'm wrong. So pythagorean W-L doesn't tell the whole story, but obviously they are even better than their record indicates, especially with the additions of Price and Tulowitzki.
  13. Sorry, I'm biased... one of the most fun pitchers to watch IMO. I'm not down on the Jays, they have the best team in the MLB and should be the world series favourites.
  14. True. But Tanaka has completely fooled everyone in the lineup twice now. It feels like guys who don't give in to the fastball give the Jays problems. Teheran was throwing lots of off speed stuff IIRC, same with Gallardo for those 2 starts. Obviously being a good pitcher (like Tanaka and Teheran can be) helps too though... The Yankees are probably the second best team in the AL, and certainly have the best starting staff out of all the playoff teams (Cleveland not included). That would be a very entertaining but potentially difficult series.
  15. So if they Jays clinch by early evening tomorrow, plenty of time to get wasted as f*** and still be "sort of" ok Thursday.
  16. Thinking of doing a Jays/Red Sox parlay tonight! Why the f*** not!?
  17. For sure... but if somehow the Twins get in that would be ideal. They won't even have their "ace" Ervin Santana eligible for the playoffs. Gibson, Pelfrey, Millone, Duffey... I have no clue how they are still in the race throwing those guys out there.
  18. Agree! But I think you could use both if you want to look at who should win the Cy Young. Sure it could be luck within a given season, but it also might not be. Look at one start for example... I don't think xFIP tells the whole story in one season, and certainly not 1 start. I prefer to look at lots of different metrics, but that's just me.
  19. I don't think anyone here thinks Keuchel is on the same level of those 2 pitchers...
  20. Speculating on trades is fun, but to be honest there is no chance that is enough to get Carrasco. I don't think the Jays have enough to get him.
  21. I do not think that should matter for the Cy Young... if you give up tons of homeruns due to awful pitches but still have a nice xFIP you shouldn't win the Cy Young. But, believe what you like.
